Blue Period

Second-year high school student Yatora Yaguchi is a delinquent with excellent grades, but is unmotivated to find his true calling in life. Yatora spends his days working hard to maintain his academic standing while hanging out with his equally unambitious friends. However, beneath his carefree demeanor, Yatora does not enjoy either activity and wishes he could find something more fulfilling.

While mulling over his predicament, Yatora finds himself staring at a vibrant landscape of Shibuya. Unable to express how he feels about the unusually breathtaking sight, he picks up a paintbrush, hoping his thoughts will be conveyed on canvas. After receiving praise for his work, the joy he feels sends him on a journey to enter the extremely competitive Tokyo University of the Arts—a school that only accepts one in every two hundred applicants.

Facing talented peers, a lack of understanding of the fine arts, and struggles to obtain his parents’ approval, Yatora is confronted by much adversity. In the hopes of securing one of the five prestigious spots in his program of choice, Yatora must show that his inexperience does not define him.

If you are really into art i recommand this highly. Youre going on a journy along with the main character exploring creativity and art, different techniques, and the stress of passing through the exam. Along with listning to all the stress, art blocks of creativity and how difficult it Is for other friends as well. It is a very passionly anime, and it even made me cry at the end cause it becames to passionly and emotionly when you are being dragged into the anime.

I know a lot of People rate this negativ or do not recommand watching it, but I also think it ... is about what interest you have irl as well..if you dont do art, painting and drawing irl, and dont have this has an hobby or interest to begin with i can then understand why alot of People would find this boring, and cant relate to how the characters feels.


When it comes to the intro and outro i love how the art is, sadly the music really hit my heart and i endend UP shipping in every time.

Mixed Feelings

LISTEN BEFORE YOU BARK AT ME!

THIS IS A NETFLIX ANIME, FIRST AND FOREMOST!

That said, you must take the anime with a grain of salt. Like, it could be better, yes, but the story is beautiful. I loved this anime, and I typically hate Netflix animes besides Kakeguri.

Honestly, this anime is genuinely beautiful, whether the art design or the story. I love the characters and the growth of their personalities. They are fleshed out, and the story is something that anyone within the art community can relate to. It depicts the desire to do better and the inner conflicts one may have.

I do ... not care what anyone says, this is a good anime to watch if you want to watch an anime that makes you feel good while also feeling inner dread about your life. Somehow, that is what makes it beautiful. Having mixed feelings about everything makes it so unique.

💙✨ I had high hopes for this show, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. The first episode showed promise, but the excitement quickly fizzled out. The plot was as dull as a rainy day, and the characters were about as interesting as a plain bowl of oatmeal. Especially the main character - he was as bland as plain white rice! The blonde girl was much more intriguing.

💙✨ The story didn't have anything new or exciting. It felt like watching paint dry. I wouldn't recommend this show if you're looking for something thrilling. It's like eating the same boring cereal every day.
