Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko

Deep in the forest, far from any human contact, there lives a child named Ryouma Takebayashi. He engages in the rather strange hobby of keeping various types of slimes as pets. Furthermore, despite his young age, he has a sturdy physique and good compatibility for magic. All of this is because, having endured much hardship in his previous life, three gods grace Ryouma with a second chance to pursue one goal: savor the wonders of life.

After three years of comfortable solitude pass by, Ryouma meets people that will change his current life forever. When he encounters and helps some soldiers tend to their wounded comrade, the group convinces him to accompany them to visit the nearby town's ducal family. Ryouma agrees and soon embarks on a journey to explore the vast world beyond his home.

If I could give 7.5, I would.
This is an isekai about Ryouma, an exploited worker from earth who is reborn as a child in a different world.
The concept is not that original (even lampshaded by some of the characters who call it a cliche), but it's fairly well executed.
There isn't much of a plot. The vibe is more slice-of-life, and a little bit character driven. The basic storyline is, once Ryouma is reborn, he spends three years alone in the woods studying slimes. After three years, he meets a duke and his family who help him start to move forward in life.
The ... art isn't stunning, but it's not bad to look at either.
The music didn't stand out to me.
The world building is a little basic, with some interesting elements. There's multiple guilds and types of magic that are explored, as well as different gods. There are small details about how previous isekai'd people from earth have left their influence on this world.
The characters are so-so. Ryouma is not that deep of a character, but he's likable and fun to root for. He's very hardworking, and caring, and he had a rough time in his first life, so I don't mind that he's overpowered.
The other people Ryouma meets are kind and helpful, but also not that deeply developed. Still, the relationships between the characters are touching. I always love a found family!

Other things I like:
I like that Eliaria is pretty much as powerful and talented as Ryouma.
I love, love, love the design of the slimes. They are so cute and helpful! I like their little faces and arms, and all the different kinds and abilities.

Things I don't like that much:
There are some small fanservice moments that feel cringey, particularly because Ryouma is supposed to be (technically?) a child. Luckily, there are not so many of these.
On the subject of Ryouma's age, I feel weird about the implications of a romantic relationship with Eliaria. However, so far it has been kept innocent, so only time will tell.

Overall, if you like isekai, and don't mind a little un-originality (other than the slimes, really) then you might like this. If you want a more original isekai, or prefer a more plot-heavy anime, then this probably isn't for you.

Mixed Feelings

A classic "feel-good" isekai, one of the few good ones. Yet, still kind of boring and childish, which I don't remember it bothering me too much in my first watch, but I just rewatched it now a couple years later and I didn't find it nearly as entertaining as I remembered it.
I am leaving my rating of 6 but I classify it as "mixed feelings", as I believe that it would be boring for some people.

What I liked:
- it's not "generic", it has original storylines and a well thought system (albeit not without plot holes and oversimplification).
- the MC is likeable despite being a bit ... of an overpolite (ex) pushover. I did like that in this life he draws his boundaries, but still, I am a bit allergic to hyper-positive/nice/polite people.
- some ideas (like a laundry service of cleaning slimes) are genuinely creative, and it's what makes this story standout from the sea of generic isekai despite not being particularly good.
- there is some basic dynamic of slice of life and action, without falling in the trap of putting too much action for fear of it being boring.

What I disliked:
- it is a bit boring indeed. It's not because "there's no action", action can also be mega boring if not well made.
Chillout stories tend to be light and simple and there's value in that, but somehow I do feel like something's missing here.
- there's a slight red flag, dude's 30-40 y/o inside but he's romantically bonding with a 10-12 y/o girl. I find this kind of unfortunately recurrent thing in many isekai deeply disturbing in many ways.

This is a flat out lie. Ryouma pretty much goes to the first town he finds and then does very little interesting after the first half of the first season. If you read the description and assumed this was an adventure show, IT IS NOT. This is NOT an adventure show. It's, at most, a slice of life show which ... pretty much takes place in just one town and focuses on fairly boring business logistics.
