Synopsis

Izuku "Deku'' Midoriya and his fellow students in Class 1-A of UA High's hero course have been chosen to participate in a safety program on Nabu Island. To further improve their skills and gain experience in more ordinary heroics, the students aid the kind citizens with small services and everyday chores. With the low crime rate in the quiet community, all seems well and good, but the rise of a new villain threatens to put the students' courage to the test and challenge their capabilities as heroes.

A merciless villain by the name of Nine is in search of a certain "quirk" needed to fulfill his diabolical plan—creating a society where only those with the strongest quirks reign supreme. As his attack on Nabu Island endangers the lives of the residents, securing the citizens becomes the first priority for Class 1-A; defeating Nine along with his wicked accomplices is also imperative. A straightforward strategy is formulated until a young boy named Katsuma Shimano, whom Deku had befriended, suddenly requires particular protection. Concerned for the boy's wellbeing, Deku and his classmates must now devise a plan to ensure Katsuma's safety at all costs.

With Nine wreaking havoc to find the catalyst for his ill-intended schemes and the heroes desperate to defend Katsuma from harm, will Deku and his friends be able to come out victorious, or will they find themselves unable to escape a hopeless situation?

It's intense story, characters, and soundtrack give it in my opinion one of the best movies I've ever seen.
The story was driven with tons of action, the characters are portrayed as true heroes and the soundtrack made me cry with some songs with it's beauty.
Is also say that the setting was to of the notch as well as the animation that the creates had time to make.
The climax and ending made the story very unique since this wasn't found in the manga itself.
Overall it's worth the watch if your a Boku no Hero Academia fan. Now go Beyond, Plus Ultra!

Mixed Feelings
One of my issue with the first My Hero Academia movie was the animation quality not being any better than the show. Well the 3rd act of this movie has an insanely good animation with one of the best fights seen in the series. It also explores a bit more of the relationship between Midoriya and Bakugo.

It's a shame that the ending ends up being dumb because they had to conform to the sake of canon. Additionally, the relationship between Midoriya and the new movie supporting character, Katsuma, is not interesting whatsoever. The first half of this movie is also quite slow and boring.

Just ...

And congratulations to MHA: Heroes:Rising for becoming my 100th completed anime! Or it would have been my 100th completed if I TECHNICALLY didn't finish probably the last ~3 minutes, meaning that I am eternally grateful to my very legal website for cutting the movie short. The TL;DR is the movie is shit. All shounen movies are, with the exceptions being demon slayer and jujutsu kaisen.

Spoilers beyond this point, but who really gives a shit.

Story 1/10
Pretty average shounen stuff to start off with. Not really much to comment on. Bad guy wants bad thing so good guys stop bad guy from doing bad thing because being ...
