The Tokise High School Koto Club has courageously pushed through their fractured and unsynchronized performance at the Kanto Region Traditional Japanese Music Festival. Clubmembers Chika Kudou, Satowa Houzuki, Takezou Kurata, Hiro Kurusu, Kouta Mizuhara, Saneyasu Adachi, and Michitaka Sakai are devastated to learn the negative results of their performance, leaving them crushed. Nonetheless, the group recognizes their potential and enthusiastically agree to collectively sharpen their skills, improve their flaws, and develop higher caliber playing to succeed in the upcoming national qualifiers in winter.
With the help of their now willing club advisor Suzuka Takinami, the group's goal gradually becomes achievable as they begin to grasp the foundations of good music and refine their koto-playing abilities, with the suggestion of performing more often to gain what they lack most—experience.
However, as their journey to nationals is underway, the koto club members face challenges that obstruct their focus and progress. Not only does the threat of other powerhouse schools and musicians remain, but the high school issues of budding romance and soon-to-be-graduating seniors also begin to push the limits of the determined group of teenagers and the future of the koto club.
Kono Oto Tomare has become one of my favorite anime songs. The first season was very good and I love music!
It's hard to find anime with a wonderful cast like Kono Oto Tomare, the characters are very well developed and everything flows very well. The drama and the romance are being explored very well in this 2s and I hope it continues to the end.
The animation this season is much better than 1S and that made the most amazing anime ever.
The soundtrack is wonderful at times and it made me shed a few tears in a few episodes.
Finally an anime where the mc is cool and the "romance couple" of the anime is perfect!
If you hate a sloppy and weak mc (Like me :3) which get nosebleed every 10 seconds because of lag of character this is anime is for you !
The story is really good and deep, the romance is really well added to the story and the characters are really beautiful !
I really searched for that kind of anime from a long time ago I almost lost hope but then I found this masterpiece.
If you really like music, romance, bit of comedy and shounen animes this is definitely
In short if you liked the first season and rated it 7-10 you will forsure want to watch this season.
You're probaly here after watching the first season which was amazing, kono oto tomare 2nd season will continue with that casual romance theme with the "sports/music" while adding an extra crisp with the small alone times with each character.
The story is pretty much flawless but keeps out a few characters backstory which could be good for some people who prefer the main story more than the side stories. The story gets its 8 from the indepth in detail with the main characters and having a
straightup goal to make the viewer kindof expect what is going to happen
The background is less thought of and is lesser detailed than the characters making it slightly unbalanced esspecially when characters are upclose
Some animes songs just catch the ear. I myself don't enjoy most music animes because of the terrible cheap sounds but this one did well!
Very good detail in characters aswell as stories connected to the most of the characters.
After watching the first season of kono oto tomare you will realise there is no real "Boring episode or two" in the anime which is usually a case for animes in my case making me leave them half watched due to boredom.
Worth to watch season if you liked the first one.
This is like many school sports animes but just has a different vibe to it making it good.
I wish you could review a series by each episode for a show, with an over all rating as well, because most of this show is a 9 but the teacher girl who hates them is ruining the show.
her episodes are 6's at best. her character is the only bad part of this show so far aside from the dude teacher trying to sink them (or just being stupid) all in all, if you very much so dislike horribly written characters that are just added to screw with the MC's with no regard for the overall cohesion of the story then i'd avoid this
If I could write spoilers i would go into much more fine detail but I can't
but for now I will leave my rating as an 8 and hope this arc is over quickly so the show can regain it's footing
