Synopsis

Akira Tachibana, a reserved high school student and former track runner, has not been able to race the same as she used to since she experienced a severe foot injury. And although she is regarded as attractive by her classmates, she is not interested in the boys around school.

While working part-time at the Garden Cafe, Akira begins to develop feelings for the manager—a 45-year-old man named Masami Kondou—despite the large age gap. Kondou shows genuine concern and kindness toward the customers of his restaurant, which, while viewed by others as soft or weak, draws Akira to him. Spending time together at the restaurant, they grow closer, which only strengthens her feelings. Weighed down by these uncertain emotions, Akira finally resolves to confess, but what will be the result?

A very moving and eye opening anime. It's well animated and immerses you into their world. I couldn't stop watching. I had to keep watching. I had to find out what happened, why it happened and the conclusion. This was a great romance anime.

Despite my grudge against one character, the show was heartwarming. It's an interesting premise given the real world implications of their relationship, however I think the show carries it out well enough to not be weird. I'm usually not one romance anime but unless it's comedy but this one kept me coming back to watch episode after episode. It intrigued me ...

Mixed Feelings
I started watching this anime because I thought the art style is good and looked liked it's a story about controversial relationship and how it unfolds. It was good for first few episodes. Then after few episodes the story was not going anywhere and stayed stagnated.then suddenly it left the current story of the main characters relationship and started a new story of their passion. And that too in last 4 episodes.although we can relate to female lead as her struggle and passion for dream was clearly shown.the male lead was a full wishy washy character. He was a character of no significance and he ...

InformativeInformative
First, let me state what I appreciated of this anime. As per usual, Wit Studio made a wonderfully animated series. The characters and scenes are all beautifully drawn and, to me, this was the primary (if not only) well done aspect of the show.

Despite the appeal of its aesthetics I had to force myself through this series. Superficially it is supposed to entice with its provocative scenario, but its really just another story of adolescent angst. Now, stories like these aren't inherently bad to me but I think this show could have done much MUCH more with its story. To be honest, if it wasn't ...
