both are about chibi character make their journey to find answer. both are documentary anime(kinda) both has similar character traits and personality kaban is same as riko, both are powerless human but quite intelligent and skillful. serval is same as reg, both are quite strong but lack of skill and critical thinking. at the same time: kaban is same as reg as both of them are coward. serval is same as riko as both of them fill with excitement. difference: kemono friend - more or less dark(not really) made in abyss - very dark anime

Kemono Friends and Kemurikusa are similiar in almost every aspect. Both will give you the same vibes, albeit Kemurikusa is dark from the beginning, while Kemono Friends only by the end. Anyway, both of them: - are directed by Tatsuki and produced by Yaoroyozu - have quite different, yet still post apocalyptic setting in which all humans mysteriously vanished - main character is the only known human, who noone knows how he ended where we meet him (even himself/herself) - both are accompanied by anthropomorphic creatures (animals in Kemono Friends, plants in Kemurikusa), who accompany our MC on adventure - using the very similar 3D CGI animation, which by many is considered  read more

The aimless travels of two uncomplicated people within the ruins of human civilization, finding joy in simple discoveries and products of a long lost culture, and exploring how the few remaining people find reasons to live in a desolate world.

Both are masterpieces of their respective time with some low production values but with a lot of heart and passion in them.

I know right, not really expected. But the world building is strangely, or should I say eerily similar. It starts off nice but then you slowly get to understand how wrong everything is in these universes. However be aware that the animation quality of one of these is far better than the other's. I'll let you guess which one it is.

a story about how a character is forced into an unknown world striving to understand their new surroundings, they find some animal eared friends along the way.

For me, both shows fall under the category of "medicinal" anime. They're full of cute, loveable characters in cute, loveable situations - watch them to get that warm, fuzzy fix.

Meet new people and new info along the way while exploring the world on "small" scale.

At first glance, they are totally different shows. However, for a broad-minded and laid-back viewer they will seem to be comparable. A human being lost and found in another, uncanny world? Check. A friendly harem (or a homologue of a harem)? Check. Problem solving skills reaching maximum? Check. Loveliness? Check. There is also a good deal of differences, but that should be enough to recommend "Kemono Friends" to "Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni" fans. And vice versa.

Both of these shows are cute, and funny. They are just happy shows, and I enjoy watching them solely to waste time, and get my happy batteries recharged

Cute animal girls doing cute things with their friends. Both series have supernatural overtones, and lead characters trying to find their place in their worlds.

Documentary-style animation with live action interspersed. Lots of subtle comedy.

Both are anthropomorphic animal animes that take place in a school setting. In Beastars, it focuses on how different herbivores and carnivores coexist with each other, while Kemono Friends follows a group of girls known as Japari Park Rangers who explore different areas of the park searching for animal friends to make bonds with. While both anime have lighthearted moments, they also tackle some mature themes such as predation, manipulation, sacrifice, etc.

Both shows start off with the main characters suddenly appearing in a new, unknown world. Initially, one of their main goals is to find a library, either to be around books or to find information about themselves.

Both shows are based on mobile games, both have a cute and colorful cast of kemonomimi characters, both take place in unique and interesting settings, and they both have an overall wholesome vibe. If you liked one, you'd like the other.

both are slices of life set in post-apocalyptic settings, and focus on an all-female cast of characters.

Both animes are about the protagonist discovering their true self, whether it be because of amnesia or because they want to push themselves to the limit. On their journey towards self-discovery both protagonist have to make use of their intelligence to solve the challenges that oppose them.

Its kinda hard to find any anime that similar to Kemono Friends, but in term of adventure and the main character starts the mysterious world from zero. These two anime fits each other. In Kemono no Souja Erin the adventure starts a bit late and the story were much much longer with deeper plot and development of character. Kemono Friends did the same from the very beginning, both has lots of likeable character and world building with hints of the mysteries in each episodes.

Both are very slow, calming shows with a memorable cast of characters and heart. These shows have a feeling of adventure that allows the viewer to be enthralled even if the pace is a little sluggish.

Cute animal people having cute adventures in a fantasy setting. While the antics are often playfully lighthearted, the world they live in is implicitly quite dangerous... but then there's an idol concert and who doesn't like idols? Anyway, Dog Days is lewd while Kemono Friends is not.

Both series begin with the main girl waking up in a strange new setting, seemingly from a ritual event that occurs on a semi-regular basis, and discovering the unfamiliar world around her/who she is with the help of new friends. Haibane Renmei has a more mature/serious tone, but both series are largely family-friendly.

Both series hide a deeper, more serious story about their setting under the cute girls doing cute things aura they have.

Both shows have similiar atmosphere: post-apocalyptic, yet warm and peaceful. Both are an interesting mixture of cute slice-of-life *and* a good story with plot, journey and destination. In the past of the world dwells something mysterious, and we recieve clues through the story. Both shows praise creativity and labour, be it building bridges and houses in Kemono Friends or saving apple orchards with alchemy in Escha to Logy. Still, both also have enough action. Cute characters also included =).

Both shows display humans in a good way: our wits, inventiveness, knowledge. Both Kaban-chan and kids from Survive cleverly solve similiar problems - sometimes about ropes and logs, sometimes about relationships, sometimes even technologies. Watching it can make you proud of humanity. Both animes feature survival: very mild in Kemono Friends, more harsh in MWS. Both show the value of friendship and cooperation. Both animes are a bit more childish than your average one, but have hidden depths. In both heroes have to investigate the unknown world, ancient artifacts and leftovers of the civilization. One can even draw thin, but interesting parallels between Sandstar in KF and nanomachine  read more

TANK S.W.A.T 01 and Kemono friends are basically the same anime. Dystopian futures full of girls with cat ears and ruined buildings, as well as a bold use of full cgi instead of old traditional animation. You'll laugh, you'll cry, I was moved to tears by both of these anime and you will be too.

If you watched and enjoyed Madoka Magica for what is was then you understand how a show can be silly, cute, and fun on the surface, but dark, sinister, and mysterious underneath. Kemono Friends is, without spoiling anything, basically that. The cgi will turn many away, it almost turned me away, but after watching it, I truly have come to enjoy this show for what it is; childish and silly on the surface, but dark and mysterious in subtle ways.

Both have animal girls and have some comedy in them. Both also have characters who don't know who they really are and are striving to find that out.
