Both are short anime about the life story of a girl trying to live on her own, told through the perspective of her cat.

Both She and Her Cat: Everything Flows and My Roommate is a Cat focus on a human and a cat as the main characters and explore the profoundly meaningful relationship that can foster between an owner and their pet and the large impact that cats can have on their owners lives. My Roommate is a Cat is more comedy oriented while She and Her Cat seems more subtle, but both shows deal with more mature themes than the typical cat themed kids show and are sure to touch the hearts of anyone who knows what it's to share a meaningful bond with a pet.

Both have that relaxing pacing and touching story line.

Both anime are about cats that are taken in by people, and the stories are told by the cat's point of view. However, Chi's Sweet Home is a lot more comedic while Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko: Everything Flows has more drama. Finally, the episodes are shorter than the average 24 minutes. IF YOU LOVE CATS, THEN YOU MUST WATCH THESE!

Cat Daru and Garbage doll from Clannad act really similar

Both anime cover the same "Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko" story. "Everything flows" is in color, was made more recently, and has a much longer runtime (still an OVA, though). The other version is 1/6th of the runtime, black and white, and pretty much the first publicly praised work of now famous director Makoto Shinkai. The story and mood are similar, I give Shinkai's version a slightly better rating because it has more emotional power and better art (even if it is B/W).

- Both are slow-paced slice of life series which focus on the relationship between two characters going about their daily lives together. - Both have incredible visuals. - Both sets of main characters seem to only understand one another, mostly putting on a face for the outside world (trying to cope with responsibilities and hiding their constant insomnia, respectively).

Aside from varied differences in stories. The narration for both stories (at least for the first part of Flavours of Youth) has a similar tone. Telling a story of how they lived, and what they loved so much about such a time. With She and Her Cat: EF being a short romantic TV anime, Flavours of Youth is a trio of stories into one movie.

It's another sweet slice of life anime which deal with the friendship and how to fix the things that are broken

Cats. Just cats. A Whisker Away and She and Her Cat: EF follows bonds made by a human and cat. Not much else similar in terms of stories. Both are good romance anime, with A Whisker Away being a movie, She and Her Cat: EF being a short TV anime.

Both anime are about the bond between a young adult and her cat. Both cats take care of their owner in their own way. Everything flows is shorter but it's more emotional and Dekiru Neko is more of a traditional Slice of Life.

Even in the differences of race, there is still love. Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms and She and Her Cat: Everything Flows both follow a pair which share some form of love. Promised Flower is more of a mother's love for her child, She and Her Cat is more romantic love between a human and a cat. Both are good anime with Promised Flower being a great visual and coming of age drama. She and Her Cat being a nice little short of sweet wholesome love.

In such short stories, you see heartfelt depictions of the love, joy, exhaustion, pain, beauty, meaning, and brevity of a person's life. They remind the viewer to cherish the time they have and the people (or other creatures) around them.

Although completely unrelated in setting, both shows give a very similar impression. They both offer a feeling of comfort, and deal with relatable issues many have gone through. Aria might be a bit different in that it has uses much comedy, but overall, I think both shows have a similar tone and are trying to tell similar messages. And they're both great shows if you like cats.

Similar: soft atmosphere, daily life, both main characters own cats as pets. Both are very calming to watch Different: Natsume Yuujinchou has a supernatural aspect and has a bit of action every now and then as well.

Very similar in that Both shows are best for someone who wants to just relax. Both are soothing shows about the relationship between pet and owner and each shows have the pet's monologue narrating their thoughts as the show progresses.

They both deal with many of the same themes; maturing, independence, parental relationships, and continuing through life's struggles; a classical soundtrack is used to great effect in both, so feels will be abound because of it. As well as the obvious sharing a black cat who is a pivotal part to both the story and main character.

These two short stories, each less than 30 minutes long, trace the growth of realistic and relatable main characters from childhood to adulthood through a series of vignettes alternating between the past and present to provide context for the main character's current state in life. In such a brief run time, the anime present a thorough look into the characters' development, decisions, dreams, memories, lessons learned, and emotions over the course of their lives. Because the audience sees the characters' interests, concerns, and social circles shift as they mature, it is reminded of the sad reality that life is fleeting and people will never be  read more

Similar art style. In both anime we see how caring about each other can influence us in a good way. Boy cares for his best friend and makes their friendship stronger, while cat cares for his keeper.

Yeah I know that Free is sport anime but please hear me out. Free does some decent character development and builds nicely around a lost friendship and making new friends also tackling how to deal with fears
