I'd like to commemorate everyone who has written a review on this anime. Why? Because Pan de Peace has absolutely no substance to it. It was painstakingly hard trying to compose a review on this anime due to its lack of practically everything that defines something as a show.

Plot: 1/10

Bread. This is the one word definition of the entirety of Pan de Peace's plot. This singular word defines everything that this anime stands for. The enlightenment provided to viewers through the characters' dedication ... to the art of bread is the pinnacle of storytelling. Bread is a superb plot point that is unparalleled in the anime universe. At this point I'm just randomly writing down whatever sarcastic thoughts that come to mind. But then again, why would I write a serious review on the plot of this anime when this show's writers didn't even try to produce a script that actually held any meaning? Its like they just wrote down whatever generic garbage that came to mind without consulting the little brain power that they actually possesed and decided to use it as the plot for this anime. It's honestly quite pathetic.

Animation: 3/10

I don't know if it's just the site that I watch this anime on or not, but the characters' mouths don't actually move in synchronization with their voices. It's blatantly noticeable, and incredibly aggravating. Also the characters' eyes are way too far apart on their faces, which partially takes away some of the moe factor that the animators are desperately trying to portray through the girls, which is the only thing that these female characters have going for them. The backgrounds are poorly designed as well. But hey, at least the bread looks edible, right?

Sound: 5/10

Thankfully, the opening theme song isn't deplorable. The voice acting is fine as well. They're nothing special, but at least I can listen to them without a portion of me dying on the inside like every other part of this anime seems to accomplish expertly.

Characters: 2/10

You can accurately guess what the "personalities" of the characters will be by simply taking into account their appearances. Short hair girl is energetic. Glasses girl is reserved. Busty girl has no shame and likes rubbing the heads of the other girls (specifically the loli) against her massive breasts. The loli does cute things and wants to "grow," thus she consumes ample portions of milk. These girls are so generic that it hurts. There's absolutely nothing else to say about them, since they never evolve as characters in any way.

Enjoyment: 1/10

I personally think that the purpose of creating shows is to produce a feeling of entertainment and excitement in the minds of viewers. Pan de Peace manages to do the total opposite. Watching this anime makes me question what the individuals involved in creating this show were possibly thinking and why the heck they would spend actual money on producing this disgrace. Pan de Peace also makes me feel gravely concerned for the future of the anime industry.

This show is pathetic. I try to be lenient on anime like this since they are incredibly short, usually only 3 or 4 minutes long per episode. But it's just so deplorable that I can't help but despise it. There are absolutely no redeeming qualities to Pan de Peace. Maybe the second half of the show will improve, though I highly doubt it.

Normally I try to not waste my time on sharing my opinion on the internet because its effect is proportionally moot compared to my time wasted. Normally I only view MAL beside other websites through the Google search details to get a rough rundown about what most people think about an anime. Even if my perception of the anime then differs vastly from the average rating of it, there's no reason I should give a shit about adding a rating to some other thousands.

I was really shocked after I saw this bullshit. For instance, living in Germany with all those fascist and left-militant red army ... groups arising on the streets who are struggling and cutting themselves in the dark instead of watching anime and becoming weebs I am used to people spreading stupid nonsense because of the confirmation bias regarding their seemingly superior ideology. But I was still shocked when I saw the shit people posted on this bulletin. Don't get me wrong, there are some erudite en337s here that can grasp the awesomeness of this unmatched masterpiece, but I do pity the laymen that weren't able to.

As one may conclude from my name, I created this account solely for the purpose of extolling this gem of an anime. I wanted to name myself "signedupforpandepeace" at first, but it turned out to be too long.

I'll commence with the first thing most weeble face when starting of with a new anime. The title. Already a literary artwork:

"Pan de Peace"

I'm gonna leave two blank lines to not defile this incredible piece of stylistic art. To cut it into bite-sized pieces, let's start off with the language. This title consists of 3 words from 3 different languages. Which three languages? you may ask. Japanese, French and English. However, there is even more to it. "Pan" could also be Spanish and "de" could also be Japanese, not only adding to the artistic value of the title but also render it appealing for an international audience. Contrary to common belief and how it is inscribed in the Japanese version of the title, "de" is meant to be primarily French for a stylistic effect so that the peace and personal liberation through bread is connoted with the French Revolution.

The story is marvelous. The viewer follows a group of anime high school girls who are confronted with everyday high school girl problems like bread, cute lolis and bread. While familiarizing themselves with their new high school, they also learn to find inner and outer peace through the sacred path of the bread. All I can say is that this anime truly changed how I view life and bread in general.

The art is 911/FBI, would lewd. But read me out. To use proper terminology, I should describe it as "kawaii desu af". It is the only anime whose imposing virtuoso artwork prevented me from searching hentai for it before I completed it. After I was done, I kinda felt bad for the girls that I didn't wish to lewd them. So I did it for their sake. And I was yet surprised again. There is very little good content out there. And I'm not writing about the artistic quality here, because obviously it is impossible to compete with the original show, but it appears to me that there is simply a major lack of rule 34. So an invocation to all the hentai artists out there:

DON'T BE INTIMIDATED BY THIS UNMATCHABLE ARTWORK. THINK OF THE SAD FACE OF NOA IF SHE KNEW THAT YOU DON'T DRAW ART OF HER.

Because if there was, I wouldn't be able to achieve anything productive in my entire life.

Ok.... so, this show is interesting.
I did not come into this anime expecting a story. It's called Peace Through Bread, not much to expect there. I did expect it to be a little bit like Wakako-Zake, the 2min/ per episode series about a person's journey through food. That was fairly good.

This series is not bad. But it's bland.

Art: 8/10
The art is actually very nice. It's cute and simple, with good animation. The detailing of the characters, settings, and food is lovely. There's no question about that.

Plot/Story/Characters/Point of Series: 3.5/10
It's a show about bread lesbians, essentially. No major plot, no substantial conflict. Typical of small ... shows like this. They don't really have good shots of the food until the end, and it's more a slice of life with subtle hints of.... romance? Not sure. The creators seem to be unsure of what exactly they want in this show. The characters are nice and have slight humor. But they are uninteresting. The point seems to be going all over the place (and maybe mine is as well).

Overall: 5
This show tries. It's cute, it's kind of about food, and it might be full of lesbians. That's cool. It's not my cup of tea, but it is a good "breather" anime. If you are, like me, in the middle of series such as Boku no Hero Academia, Kiznaiver, and Bungou no Stray Dogs, this will give you a small sense of relief and might make you feel a bit better.

P.S. It should be called Lesbians through Bread. That'd be a little bit funny! Anyways, enjoy.

I found myself desperate, not knowing where to go or what to do until i found this marvelous anime, it was like a ray of sunlight breaking through a cloudy sky,like a mid-court three pointer to beat the buzzer and tie the game, this anime was hope. It embodied everything any anime fan could look for, cute highschool girls in a slice of life show, great character development, interesting in depth view of the protagonists and antagonists, superb background and a mindblowing animation. The plot may seem simple and banal at first glance but during the development of the show it turns out as an ... exciting one. This show's pace is just perfect and i'd say it goes toe to toe with shows like Fullmetal Alchemist or Steins Gate.

In conclusion this show is worth watching and worshipping, 'cause now, we are bread friends.

I didn't expect to have strong feelings going into Pan de Peace. I expected it to be a simple short that wouldn't take much investment, and indeed, when it aired, I didn't really care about it. However, that feeling of mere apathy didn’t last for long. As it became more and more apparent that the show would not amount to anything, it was quickly replaced by a desperateness to find some modicum of significance in what was essentially a void of nothingness. Did the show eventually present me with any truths? Well…

Upon first inspection, and second inspection, and pretty much every inspection afterwards, Pan ... de Peace appears to be a disgustingly generic moe show. The characters are cute in their design but have no character development whatsoever. The episodes feature the mildest of problems that always get cleanly resolved, with no lessons learned. A new type of bread is consumed every episode, the girls are happy, and we move on to the next episode. This simple story analysis would conclude that Pan de Peace’s story suffers from both the stagnation and mediocrity of typical slice-of-life anime and the difficulty of creating a worthwhile story with such a short episode runtime.

The average reviewer would right now rate the story 4/10 or so, and move on to discussing the sound or visuals. But unfortunately for you, this isn’t an average review.

Thanks to a certain subbing group, we know that Pan de Peace is actually a brilliant social commentary on feminism. We see this from the very beginning, when Minami is worried that she will be unable to make friends in her new class. Her progressive views have often left her isolated in the past, so when she encounters several fellow bread buddies, she is ecstatic to have found a community where she can share her views.

When the cast dons maid uniforms during their school's cultural festival, this isn't just some cheap fanservice. Rather, these girls are aware of the cultural practices in place, and are working within the system for their own benefit. After noticing one of their friends becoming overweight, they have a discussion on fat positivity and whether it’s a good thing or not. Another good scene is in an early episode where they discuss the merits of sex-positive feminism and how it divides the generations of feminists. One of my favorites is when the girls collectively agree that Ayn Rand was a hypocrite and hater of strong women (for context, their argument is that Ayn Rand’s objectivism supported free will, but she herself said that homosexuality should be treated as a lesser to heterosexuality, and that women should find men to marry and worship as heroes. These views strip lesbians and independent women of their free will, clashing with Rand’s Objectivist movement).

Pan de Peace helped me realize the true intersectionality of feminism. It’s hard to even call it a single unified movement. Under the banner are a plethora of sub-issues, everything from sex-positivity to lesbian acceptance to wage equality. There are so many issues that it’s impossible for someone to try and take on every single one of them. Under the umbrella of feminism are all sorts of movements and people, but they all share a goal of trying to make the world a better place for women, and by extension, everyone. Anyone can be a feminist, and as long as they’re not being problematic, there’s no reason to call someone out on not being a “true feminist” or something like that. All you have to do is find the issues you are most passionate about and the problems you have the most agency in solving, and get to work. Even just talking to others about feminism and answering their questions is doing great work.

The biggest problem with Pan de Peace is that without the right framing, you might not be able to get these same values out of it.

After all, Pan de Peace is just a stupid slice of life centered around bread.

A perfect show. A flawless masterpiece. I've never seen a show quite like Pan de Peace. Every character is super relatable and also really funny and cute. I'm constantly filled with the desire to research this show again and again because you can finish it in less than an hour. Compared to other anime, this show is so much more enjoyable. The art is simple and pleasant. The music is soft and comforting. This show gets a bad rap for being like other highschool girl anime, and it is indeed very similar. However Pan de Peace succeeds where others fail. It takes the established highschool ... girl anime plot and perfects it. There are no distractions from the plot, and every episode has a deep specific meaning that you need to find for yourself. On the surface, this show seems simple, but the truth is that it is actually a perfect show, and it's unfortunate that many people don't seem to understand that.

Good bread. 10/10 would recommend.

I love the baguette especially. Great stuff. Loving it. Bean filled bread. Makes me want to eat more bread myself. I really love bread. I live for the bread. Recommended for all bread enjoyers. Especially if you like the non basic bread like cod filled baguette. Good stuff.

It's a shame that this doesn't star the actor Rye-n-Reynolds.

If I'm going to be honest, Pan De Peace! is the most boring thing I have ever seen, I'm going to make this short.

Story [1]:
Bread... if I had to describe this story it's... bread. Just 4 characters eating bread. It's so simple that it would be hard, almost impossible to make it work. Even if it did work, the story is just 4 girls in a bakery talking, then eating bread then it ends.

Art [6]:
I will give this show credit where it is due, the art looks incredibly cute, I honestly love the look of the characters, Aizawa Yuu and Sakura Nao are the ... cutest. The animation looks really nice as well, not the best but okay.

Sound [3]:
Not to say the voice acting is bad or anything, but honestly I found the majority of these characters annoying. I don't know why, the main characters [Tani Minami] voice is the worst out of all of them

Character [2]:
Really bland characters that all like bread. If I need to say more, I can't if I tried hard enough, but I will. Aizawa is the smart one, Nao is the cute one, Fukagawa is the jealous one, and Tani is the bready main character. Never seen such 1d characters in a show before.

Nothing more then bland characters, a lame story, with annoying voice acting with awful character delvopment, I rate Pan de Peace! A 2/10

A shining beacon for all anime. A true masterpiece.

On the surface it is a story about friends who enjoy school-life together, but if you look closely you see a lot of conservative values! Baking and cooking for the ones you hold dear, getting a lot of children and most importantly protecting and defending those close to you to from evil forces outside! Obviously it is a very deep political commentary on how society is and how it should be to make everyone happy and live together properly, as it also emphasizes to get along with those similar to you and takes a strong stance against ... the unhealthy skinny-cult introduced by modernism.

Or maybe it is just a wholesome series about bread, I don't know.

(If you're looking for a quickie inbetween your waiting for your other anime episode to come out with no serious plot and some yuri...then this is for you!)

● Story: The story is decent. It's about bread, and there's no much I can say about it. I learned some things about bread, and I don't remember them. Yeah.

● Art: The art is fair. The art is cute, and it's a cute anime. It could use some work. Compared to the original manga artist's color works, this is a shadow.

● Sound: The voice acting was okay, and the actors did pretty well. The anime does not have ... a memorable sound track, and I don't remember any of the music either.

● Characters: The characters are mediocre. They're cute, but they aren't anything special. The characters of the random comedy series Pani Poni Dash! have more personality than these.

● Enjoyment: I enjoyed this anime, but it wasn't memorable. I don't remember anything from it or some of the episodes plots. It's certainly not too much of a fave, but it's cute...

Pan de Peace! is stale (bread).

People might say that you shouldn't be critical of something that is only two minutes per episode, but I beg to differ. Having such a small run-time doesn't exempt the show from criticism and even the most lenient of reviewers would be hard pressed to find even a fragment of enjoyment out of this show. You see, the problem that this show faces is that it has one job: to be adorable.

It doesn't market itself with an intriguing narrative, great sound design, or even good art. At face value, this show is attempting to provide you with moe - ... that's it. While I'm not an expert on moe, having your characters drawn half-baked and giving them pointless dialogue doesn't make for good allure. From the first episode, when one of the characters is screaming to their mother about how much she loves her, I could tell that I was in for an eye-rolling, teeth-grinding experience.

Sure enough, I was.

The show takes these characters nowhere. Regardless of how "turn-your-brain-off" this show was meant to be, nothing ever happens. The entire show is literally just four characters eating bread in different locations, sometimes spitting out obscure facts related to bread in the process. Honestly, there is no saving grace for this anime. Everything is mediocre and that only proves to exacerbate the problems that Pan de Peace suffers from.

If you want to do yourself a disservice, go ahead and give it a shot. As many others have said, it's only two minutes per episode, so you really don't have that much to lose. Regardless, I would still be wary of finding any modicum of fun out of this series. If you want good four-panel anime adaptations, I'm sure you can find a bunch more that fit your liking. Whatever it is you're searching for, you won't find it here, I promise you that.

Bread and Yuriness.

Pan de Peace really is just an yuri undertoned anime about a bunch of high school girls in which all of them just happened to have an affinity with bread.

LA would have to admit but the characters are as stock and cliche, like we have the genki main character, the ojou, the reserved one and the lolicon who's wise beyond her age and the "sixth ranger".

Pan de Peace however had episodes where it lost focus on...you know "bread and yuriness" and going typical "girls doing cute things at school" things and they tend to focus more on Noa Sakura voiced by Nichika ... Oomori and Fuyumi Fukagawa voiced by Moe Toyota glomping her every chance she gets and considering it has a 3 minute screentime it's kinda odd that they couldn't think up more of the simple concept of "bread" and "girls doing cute things".

The animation by Asahi Production is "ok" at best as the animation goes chibi with it's comedic moments and somewhat detailed backgrounds with bright character designs, but it's nothing to brag about the animation though.

Nonetheless Pan de Peace isn't anything bad nor it is great in terms of anime shorts, just mediocre overall from its characters, animation to it's basic plot. Pan de Peace is by in large "bread and yuriness" with lots of loss of focus halfway through.

Pan de Peace just panders to the "girls doing cute things" and just fluffs around at the same time, LA is a bit torn by this anime short, as it does really nothing new to the "girls doing cute things mainly food" (Kofuku Graffiti did it already with a wider food range), but being doing the bare minimum for "plot" especially for a 3 minute anime short, LA want to give it some grace, but not outright forgive it's glaring faults.

When this anime first started airing, I immediately caught on to how depressingly stale it is. It is utterly lacking in any distinct flavor, honestly every aspect of this show is pretty generic, but done worse than a lot of other similarly generic shows. I made a promise to myself that when it finished airing, no matter what I thought of it, I'd write a review of it starting with the sentence "all right motherfuckers, I hope you're ready for bread." Unfortunately, after enduring 13 weeks of this, that joke isn't funny to me any more (and it wasn't funny anyway, I just tend to ... laugh at stupid things).

Before I say anything specific, I want to mention that I don't take anything about this anime any more or less seriously than shows with normal-length episodes. It's true that the majority of short-episode anime like this are terrible, but I'd like to think of that as nothing more than a general observation, and not a necessary trait that defines them. If the episodes are short, the story should be structured around making the most of that format, and we shouldn't go easy on things like this because it's really not a disadvantage if the people working in it are competent.

That said, if there's one thing Pan de Peace kind of did right, it was taking advantage of its format. It's difficult to tell a compelling story or develop characters in 13 3-minute-long episodes. I don't think that it is impossible to do, but unless the team working on such an anime is God-tier, it's definitely safer to go for a generic slice of life. That way there isn't a story that needs to be crammed in, and the characters are generic enough that we basically already know them from other anime, so it can skip intros and development for the most part as well. It's very efficient but very boring.

The disappointing thing about Pan de Peace's take on these generic character archetypes is that it's almost offensively lacking in any thought. To be fair, the entire premise of this anime is "bread," so I really don't know what else to expect from the characters. Sorry to make the same pun again, but these characters are truly stale. They don't break from the norm at all, they aren't experimenting with new and interesting scenarios to put these familiar archetypes into, and they don't seem to be trying anything new with any other aspect of the anime either.

I honestly can't figure out why this was made. The characters are less cute than a lot of similar shows (I guess that could be a matter of preference, but it's so hard to find their traits endearing when 90% of their worldly interests are directly related to bread), the animation isn't "bad" but it's kind of also just not present. Any movement that is animated looks really safe and easy to get right, and when they do try to animate more complicated movements it looks gross and jarring. I tried looking at some other anime by Asahi Production to see if there was a point of reference that I could compare this to, but unfortunately their entire portfolio is filled with anime that I've specifically avoided because I've either heard it was bad or I decided that it looked too generic to put the time into. As a matter of fact, Pan de Peace and Onsen Yousei Hakone-chan are the only things I've seen from this studio, and the only reason I had the patience for them is because they were so short. Lately this studio seems to specialize in this type of short anime, and it really looks like they have a habit of taking just one new thought and adding it to a generic cast of characters for a slice of life, but that one new thought can't be TOO unique or it might be difficult to write the characters without, you know, adding depth of any kind.

Enough with that though, the sound in this anime is quite shit. If you look at the cast of voice actors for this, their careers range from relatively new to DAMN YOU'RE NEW. Like a couple of them have only had like 3 or 4 roles total as of this review, not necessarily because they don't do much voice acting, but because they haven't had enough time to do more than this. I'll take that as the excuse for most of the girls sounding kind of floaty and bored, and I guess that's fine. It's cool that they can break some new voice talent into the voice acting scene and give them some experience so that they can improve. If the rest of this anime was at all noteworthy, this would be disappointing, but as it is, it's fine. Moreso than the quality of the acting, I'm bothered by the quality of the recording. It sounds like the audio was recorded on a phone, which actually wouldn't be that bad nowadays because current smartphone audio quality is actually kind of nice, so this must have been recorded on a phone from like 10 years ago or something. Speaking of, a lot of the background music sounds like it could have been a built-in ringtone for a cell phone from 10 years ago. It fits though, which is what's disappointing about it. If the rest of the anime was fun and interesting, I could say that the soundtrack does it a disservice, but as it is, I may as well say that Pan de Peace has really good sound directing because it fits the generic vibe of every aspect of the rest of the anime. Oh and I should mention, the opening song gets stuck in my head very easily and I don't like the song very much so thanks for the torture petit milady (by the way, petit milady is a "Unit formed by Aoi Yuuki and Ayana Taketatsu" according to MAL, who are each involved in more voice acting roles than the entire cast of Pan de Peace combined. Other than Yugioh Zexal, both Aoi Yuuki and Ayana Taketatsu have had voice acting roles in each of the anime that they have performed openings for, including Onsen Yousei Hakone-chan, so it's just kind of weird to me that they weren't involved with this. I know that I like some of their roles that I've heard before, so maybe Pan de Peace was just specifically meant to only feature newcomers? Maybe adding Aoi Yuuki and Ayana Taketatsu would have made the difference in voice acting talent too apparent? Who knows?)

Needless to say, I did not enjoy Pan de Peace. It is SO easy to watch short-episode anime though, which is how I managed to finish this. I think that Crunchyroll sends a portion of the money they make from subscriptions to the different anime studios based on what shows are actually being watched, so I guess in a way I'm directly supporting more shows like this being made, so that kinda sucks. I do not recommend this anime to anyone, BUT! I do think that some people will be ok with it. If you're the type of person that will like a generic and uninspired cast of girls poorly animated to eat bread almost nonstop, you already know who you are and in that case, please feel free to watch Pan de Peace. But if you're like me, it's not even worth the 3 minutes for the first episode.

Story 9/10:
I honestly think that the story was what carried Pan de Peace. There are many interpretations, but I will try to give my own here in summary. Pan de Peace takes place in an alternate timeline to our own in which a mutated strain of the Panama disease caused a plague on all of humanities crops, notably fruit and vegetables were the hardest hit. The result of this being that only cereal grains were able to be grown in the now tainted soils of the planet. The story follows our titular protagonists years after the initial plague as humanity are trying to get along ... with their lives. Bread is one of the few foods that can be afforded by the commoner, hence why the characters try to make the best of a bad situation by trying different breads. The show does a great job of masking these sad and bittersweet undertones with it's cutesy plot, creating a breathtaking experience for the viewer. Without spoiling too much, Pan de Peace really makes you feel a mix of emotions as you watch the pureness of youth making the best of this dying world, knowing they can't delay the end, The final episode hitting the hardest of all.

Art 4/10:
Not the strongest part of the anime. The characters sometimes look like they're melting in places, but I guess this is just what people refer to as "Mo-Blobs"

Sound 3/10:
Other than the opening which was sub-par at best, the soundtrack was forgettable for me.

Characters 7/10:
Pan de Peace features a wide range of different character types which really helps complete the world and make it feel alive, every character has their own motives and goals, and they manage to jam pack so much development into each and every one, fleshing them out in such short time.

Enjoyment 5/10:
I found it hard to truly enjoy this show. I went in with practically zero expectations, and was pleasantly surprised by the characters and the fleshed out world and lore, but those were the only elements really carrying the show.

Overall 5/10:
If you enjoy cute "Mo-Blobs", I'd probably recommend this to you instantly. But for anyone else, it's hard to suggest this show. Yes, the story remarkable and an experience I would love to share, but it really depends on how much you can allow poor animation and sometimes unreliable pacing be your window into this exciting world.

A 3 minute episode anime about bread.

It's cute, the characters are funny and are interesting in their own regard.

I found this show very funny and relaxing.

The art style is cute. Smooth and soft color schemes.

I found no problem with the audio aspect of this show. Good background music, voice acting and catchy opening theme.

... Don't try to watch it expecting plot similar to shows like Deathnote or Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi (Erased) because that isn't the point of the show.

The point of the show is to be somewhat nonsensical. Just go with the flow. Watch cute girls talk about bread and friendship.

They also utilize good slapstick comedy in the show. I found myself to be quite literally laughing out loud at the comedy.

I seriously think people don't give this show enough credit.

I honestly enjoyed this anime a lot, despite the popular opinion.

I usually enjoy 4-Koma adaptations but this is so... boring and unfunny that not even the moe can save it. The animation is the only good thing about this anime but that isn't enough to keep you watching.
The character design is not bad but so cliche is not funny anymore. The whole concepts is absurd and not interesting enough.
I drop it after the 7 episode so you can ignore my review if you want to, I just didn't want to keep wasting my time...
I thought this was one of those "calm" animes that helps you forget about everything else for a moment but ... the series is so empty I can believe somebody thought it could be a good idea and paid for it.


Do yourself a favor and don't waste those 4 minutes.

I was recommended to watch this anime. I was aware of the time each episode has, how short the show was, and how it's going to be about bread. I was hoping for the best, only to find myself leaning off my chair with my headphones off of my ears, instead, having it around my neck.

This show is only about bread, if you love bread, you still wouldn't enjoy, because the only entertainment they are showing is people eating bread, and I'll tell you, it gets old in a minute.

Going back to reactions, that's the shows purpose, REACTIONS. You're going to watch girls react ... and do something cute in every second. There is no plot other than being buddy buddy with a bread person, it's that simple, it's that dumb.

The only reason I could pick up why people would love this show is for it's art and the reaction of the characters, that's it. Its art isn't anything special, you would typically see this kind of artwork in shows like New Game, Danmachi, and a lot more. The girls reactions aren't anything special either, they make cute faces and say "Delicious!" to get a laugh out of you. I only screamed.

I've seen all these episodes, all of them are like the first episode because it always have the same entertainment level.

This gets a 1, I would give it a 2 because it's only 3 minutes long, but that just makes me too generous, wouldn't it?

The story is very light-hearted and cute. Nothing exciting but it's cute enough for the 2-minute episodes. It packs up as much cuteness as it can into stuff about bread and even any moe traits the characters will display.

The art is pretty good, it's a cute style and matches with the theme. Nothing bad to say about it. The voice actors also do well to portray the characters.

The characters aren't too bad, there's a lot of cute and moe characters around.

Overall, it's not a bad series, it's super short and light. I recommend it if you want something quick and cute to watch to pass ... the time.But it might not be your thing if you're not into the moe characters, that's what keeps you watching more.

Pan de Peace is, simply put, one of if not the worst piece of media I have ever consumed.

As someone who watches quite a decent amount of slice of life and/or comedy, I had mildly decent confidence that I'd find this anime at least palatable. After all, shorts aren't necessarily bad; Tonari no Seki-kun, for example, is absolutely amazing at creating wacky situations for the viewer to laugh or at least smile at. As such, this couldn't be completely terrible, right?

Oh, how wrong I was.

Pan de Peace manages to suck all the comedy out of its scenes with its mediocre looking moeblobs, horrible static characters, ... and a complete lack of knowledge on punchline delivery. Anything that had any comedic promise was immediately destroyed by long dreary scenes that make an attempt to be cute, but utterly fail.

And this occurs over, and over, AND OVER, for 13 episodes of dumpster fire worthy trash.

Given how much I hate this excuse of an animation, why not a 1/10? As someone who legitimately does like quite a few types of bread, the bread in this show admittedly does look rather tasty. Additionally, the opening song, while by no means being a masterpiece, doesn't completely assault my ears, though it isn't something I'd want to listen to again.

I only recommend Pan de Peace to masochists and those looking to challenge their boredom. At least with 3 minutes per episode, your suffering won't last long once you realize just how dreadful this anime is.

I do like bread, and each episode is only five minutes, so I thought, what the heck.
Based off of a 4-koma manga, the five minute episode template actually works pretty well for this. That said, one of the enjoyable things about slice-of-life is watching things unfold in a slow lazy pace.
The 'plot' of this anime is a bunch of high school girls meeting up together to share their mutual love of bread. Yep. Bread.
The images of bread at the end of the episode are probably the best part. The art isn't spectacular, but it does make you hungry.
The character design is... okay. ... The cast reminds me a bit of the K-ON! girls, but nowhere near endearing. The Yui-lite main character is air-headed and kind. She rides a fine line between annoying and 'eh.' There is also some Yuri fantasizing. The lolita character is probably my favorite, mainly because she carries a baguette around in her backpack at all times.
At the end of the day, I think I smiled after I watched it.
