I'd consider it an improvement over the last OVA, mostly because of the violent scenes, which always contrasts well with a mahou shoujo theme. First episode even shows blood! The last episode is full of surprises. However, I have to admit that the second episode was somewhat boring in comparison.

There are like 15 characters, some of them don't even have a single spoken line (they joke about it) and they all kinda look the same, so it is often confusing to recognize who is who. But Yuri and Yuna make amazing protagonists, so energetic and funny.

Last July, I looked at Ginga Ojou-sama Densetsu Yuna, a decent quirky comedy with a lot of les-yay. Well, there's a sequel OVA. It's by the same people as the first, but was released a year later. The first one was released in late '95. This one released its first episode at the tail end of '96 and the last in May '97. It's three episodes. Did it really need that much time for release? All watching that will give you is a blunt transition in atmosphere from the fully light-hearted prequel to this more down-to-earth sequel, along with showing some fairly uninteresting backstory to some of the characters that doesn't build the characters in any way.

I actually didn't very much enjoy the first OVA for how simplistic and boring of a story it had, but this OVA certainly is an improvement enough to be recommendable. But if you're one who doesn't buy into any ...
