Hello Good Day!

Great Non Non Biyori Repeat review, you actually made me realize that this one was indeed better, it is kinda subtle but damm.
Xiaraith Mar 15, 2020 3:16 AM
Woah, welcome back to this little corner of the net. Good old usual place
Xiaraith Mar 30, 2018 2:55 AM
sorry for late reply. Regarding the recent slice of life anime, definitely give Yuru Camp a try first and foremost! Next to that, Sora yori mo Tooi Basho proved to be an increasingly exciting and well-composed SoL adventure with an unusual travel destination.

Hmm. I haven't played Overwatch since January last year. I got to like Masters and just outside the Top 500 and called it good, though it was on console (welp).

Good luck with school! Honestly, I won't miss university too, too much. After I started working (internships), coming back to school was really hard for me. I'm going to be starting full-time work on the 5th, so there's that. It was nice to NEET a bit, but it's about time to go back to being a productive human being, especially since my rehab is coming along and I'm starting to walk again.

I'll be working in IT, specifically in networking, at a major telecom company. Knowing what you want to do with life is a question most people don't know how or what to answer with, so you shouldn't feel any rush or pressure now towards it. When I was in biomedical science, I was aiming to be a doctor and specialized in cardiology. The pre-med program I was in took too much out of me emotionally though and my grades were on the cut-off, so I cut my losses early and it was a good change for me, personally, as I found happiness elsewhere.

Anime is nice, but if you don't feel like watching there's no reason to go back to it. I don't really draw much anymore, as it was more of a stress relief thing and I haven't felt that way in a while. I do write though, so here's a few things I did on r/anime for Aria, Kemono no Souja Erin, Kimi ni Todoke, Chihayafuru, and NANA.

I've been okay... Just tired. Working as usual but I have some needed time home now. I remember your old name. Lol. It's really been a while, huh? I guess I haven't been on here much aside from updating my list. I haven't stopped watching tho.

Hbu? How is life treating you?

It is romanticized to have a dream worth dropping everything for. This decision is very stressful. There is a high attrition rate and you need to pass every test with a minimum of 85%. I didn't know the amount of respect and degree of training it takes to be an EOD tech when I was signing up. I figured they were willing to take any physically fit person with a bit of smarts and be happy someone wanted that job. It turns out this is prestigious and there is a high bar for entry. I am doing fine for now, but I still have 2 hardest tests ahead of me. If all goes well I will be able to finish the schooling in a few more months. I started this process last March. The training for this job takes more time than most military jobs.

Urara Meirochou was alrightish good. I enjoyed it, but it certainly isn't for everyone. It is a bit slow, but you kind of expect that from the genre and anything that was a 4-koma comic. I liked the characters, they put effort into making people who are likable. <3 Chiya, so cute and funny. I like her quirks. I recommend Made in Abyss, it was top 3 best things of last year for me. I am reading it because I can't wait for season 2 when I can have it now.

I am not sure when I go to Hawaii next. I may stop off on a trip to Japan. I want to take leave and just go enjoy some foreign country for a bit because I can. Everyone has wishes of travelling in the military and then proceed not to do anything about it. I am actually wanting to go run around and see more of what the world has to offer.

Yup! There's an international for your country thing and then there's a club scene. It's like the World Cup for Overwatch. Glad you made a good friend!

I started in biomedical science actually before I switched. Picking is hard, but you can always change your path really. I found university a lot harder than HS because it was so relaxed. Without anyone to make me study regularly and tests to keep me on my toes haha. I enjoyed that aspect of HS more, to be really honest. I also prefer the structure of working to school. Ah, I don't miss labs at all. Wait until you get into organic chemistry and biochemistry labs.

Probably not. I started actively using r/anime and Reddit in April and became a mod in October. I got bored in my office during one of my internships and needed something to do, so I started Redditing at work. LOL

Awh, you should get it checked! Your health is really important. D: Computer stuff usually messes up my back and shoulders first... They're so stiff, fml.

Not really. I'm sort of bored of anime but not really. I just watched a really good episode of The Idolm@ster last night, which really moved me. Otherwise, I'm mostly still sorting out stuff for my new job and getting graduation to happen (the school online system is retarded and can't recognize my course audit because of my program change and waivers). I'll probably go back to reading, drawing, and writing some anime related things later.

5'3"? Don't take that inch and a half away from the tall 5'4.5" me :p I need that little bit of height. EOD is the bomb squad. The bomb squad was the coolest job to me when I was a little kid and it was the closest thing to being a hero. I dropped out of college in an attempt to be a hero to my younger self. I can be the man I envied.

We all start somewhere. Do you know how you put on muscle? You work out. Get a nice 5x5 routine going and build strength. I am not the biggest guy, but I can move quite a bit of weight and impress bigger guys frequently. Also since you are skinny, all of your muscular growth shows. I look fatter when I put on some muscle and then I need to trim down my fat for it to look decent. I never took your statement as something as being rude towards the country. Getting drafted was the single worst thing to happen to many people. Be smart, sign up for the draft since you kinda need to AND remember that the draft is not instated right now.

I have a friend who wants to watch Nichijou with me since now I can enjoy more things. We will probably start that after we finish Urara Meirochou. That would be awesome if we could meet up sometime in the future. It would almost be surreal putting a face to someone I have talked to for years without actually seeing them.

I'm a 64.5" stud myself. You can be small and command respect. You just need to be strong and a little masculine. There have been some serious waifu wars that have unfolded between people in the barracks. There has even been a dating sim played on a large screen tv where we yelled at the person operating the VN to make the right (your own) decision.

I will be happy with my decision to join the army as long as I get this job that I am working towards. I still have many tests between now and qualification for becoming a member of EOD. You won't get drafted, there are too many people in the armed forces for that to happen any time in the near future. If a draft does get reinstated, enlist in a job that you think you can do and go about it that way.

I remember when you wanted to become a writer and it killed me to not say "make a good life decision! writing will get you no where". Computer science is alright, you will either love it or it will slowly consume your soul and you will hate life. I think you are making a sound life decision. You can also enlist and become a commissioned officer if you get a degree and struggle to find a job. The military will also pay off your student debts. You just got to get in some kind of shape. I don't know how you are as far as physical fitness goes. Small doesn't mean weak. Never make excuses for yourself.

I have come around on cute stuff. Life has gotten stressful at times and I can fully appreciate stories about nothing as long as there is something to stare at that is visually pleasing. Shows that don't cover too much ground are perfect for cooling an overheated brain off. I still watch many shows with adventures, action, and magical girls, but I can watch nearly anything and be content. I didn't see myself being able to appreciate stuff like Lucky Star, but I am glad I changed. You should get back into anime if you have space for it in your life. I always benefit from knowing more stories. Stories can help you think differently and you can apply these differing thoughts to your own work/studies.

Ha ha ha I completely understand being conditioned to death. I am training to defuse, disarm, and dispose of explosives. I joined the Army somewhere around 9 months ago and I still have a few more months to go. I was going to a nice private engineering university, but then the job I always thought was a hero job came up and I got out of school to live a dream I had when I was a little kid. I didn't know that there was over a 90% failure rate in this school, but I am through the majority of the hardest parts. The prelim course weeds out 87.5% of people.

It is crazy to think that you are out of high school now. I remember when you were looking forward to getting into high school. College is amazing. Community college is probably where I learned the majority of useful stuff that I still use today. I cannot praise community college enough. What makes you think biology is for you?

Rest assured your country is being defended by a bunch of weebs. A lot of people, especially in this program, watch and talk about anime/manga in the barracks and around the school. What kind of shows or other things are you into now?
Serendipity Jan 14, 2018 1:28 PM
Soccer is probably the one thing that I care about the most, so I always make time for it haha. Yeah. I've been pretty busy with school and work over the past year, as well as sorting out what I exactly wanted to do and stuff. I've gotten that all under control, though my injury has thrown me a bit of a curve-ball.

What are you studying? What's your major? I always find it weird reading stuff from Americans because of the general foundation courses. I'm glad that you're finding it easy. How about away from academics; how do you find school?

Yeah, I remember. Anyways, anime is just one thing that's entertainment, so it's not like you're missing out on too much haha. I actually moderate r/anime now, so I spend a good amount of time on it as a hobby.

I'm doing okay! I wanted to get my health cleared this year, as I had recurring foot, calf, and back pain, so I'll get those all figured out while I rehab this. It's a healing year and I'm cool with that, haha. One day at a time.
Midg3tLuv Jan 14, 2018 8:22 AM
I heard about that as it was coming in. Some of my friends from Hawaii were borderline crying as I was getting the news. I was debating for a few minutes if it would be worth me getting out of my current schooling in the army to go infantry so I can make an immediate change for my country. Luckily for me, I don't need to make that decision anymore. I'm glad that you and all the other great people in Hawaii are alive and well. That missile did even less than the tsunami in October from a few years ago. Besides the accidental alarm, how is life treating you?
Serendipity Jan 13, 2018 9:37 PM
I was playing soccer and a collision happened. Yeah...

It's been a long time haha. How's school treating you? I still watch anime clearly lol.

Going to go to bed now though! Pretty tired from surgery still. D:
