Yeah, unfortunately Frieren just completely lost its steam. This arc just proves that the story will try to drag out pointless events to its heart's content. I was hoping that this 28-episode length would be more of a complete and succinct tale, but it clearly will devolve into just another 3+ season franchise. Disappointing. Overall it is still quite a good show but Redinfinity and I have completely lost our interest. I am keen to see your thoughts from here onwards though!

Hi Waffles!! It's been far too long. I'm pleasantly surprised to see you're in law school now! Congratulations man. Sorry to hear that it's been really difficult though. I feel you. Medical school has been quite the journey, too. Redinfinity and I are almost done, however. We are halfway through our final year by now and exams are looming around the corner. Just looking forward to finally graduating from being a student and earning a salary. How far into law are you atm? I really hope you can manage the workload better, though and I mean that.

About Frieren, yeah it's pretty great. Has been jumping up and down from a 8 to 9 and back again, though. It's just generally a really well-rounded show. Peak animation, a great and varied soundtrack, a proper fantasy setting (for once in anime!), well-characterised characters that actually develop. Pretty darn good package that is probably the best anime to come out in years as far as I've seen. Also, IMHO it is quite a bit better than Bocchi - Bocchi honestly just started falling flat by the latter half and seemed to lack ambition. Still a good show. The director is certainly one of the great talents of this generation and did an excellent job adapting both Bocchi and Frieren. All in all, I definitely recommend Frieren, it's got a great synopsis and is a really fun watch - time just flies!

Oh yeah, law school is one hell of a commitment. It should pay off and be worth it once you finish, but I expect it'll ask a lot from you while admitted. More than anything, keep an eye on your mental health and stressors that're bound to come up over the course of your studies. Maybe there're people you'll meet or already have met who are good at handling stress and organizing their schedule/time to prioritize law school while still maintaining hobbies or interests.

I've been good, had to work more over the last year or so since everything's become so much more expensive, which has taken a while to get organized with how late my hours are. But I've also finally gotten to some TV shows and games that I had been putting off for years. What about you man?

Hey man, apologies for the late reply! I'm so happy to hear that everything seems to be progressing nicely for you and your brother. Exciting things up ahead for both of you it seems! I'm sure that you will achieve all of your dreams in your future profession. I think that now that you have experienced the toxic environment of your previous job, that you are all the stronger for 'surviving it'. Honestly, these types of things can have a bigger toll on you than you may think, so you should be proud of yourself for carrying on. But you are quite right, just like in medicine, the road to the end is long and treacherous, but definitely worth it at the end!

I haven't seen lucky star in ages! I remember finding it quite a relaxing show, but at the same time a bit of a hit or miss depending on the scene and episode. It definitely had some big hits with some of the jokes though! But man, rewatching Anne is just a dream. Myself and Intelos are just pausing it every minute just appreciating whatever that it manages to do. Just the whole package is so tightly written, so beautifully put together. It is a mystery how it was made at the time it was, I don't think many (if any) shows at the time can remotely compare to the elegance of it, and the sheer quality it has in a way that just makes it feel truly timeless and endlessly rewatchable. I love the 1985 live action series as well, but the anime is definitely my favourite take on the classic story!

In terms of anime, I have been focusing on watching the most critically acclaimed works. As you've probably noticed, I recently watched the movie 'Junkers Come Here', and it was probably the single movie most closely matching my taste in media. It was written for me, I swear. Such an underrated experience, I would say among the most criminally underwatched shows alongside doremi and anne.

How have you been recently? Any interesting shows that you've picked up?

After I finished the anime I’ve also changed my mind, Rikka's mom is the only likeable character. You asked me how I feel about the anime and I answered, I’m really not interested to talk about series like SSSS.Gridman. If you want to talk about it, go try and convince Gsarthotegga to finish the anime or something.

Generic as it can be, boring, predictable, bland, no creativity, no depth, writing sucks, horrendous CGI, horrible character, the only two "likeable" are Akane and Rikka's mom. This anime could be a solid 2, but it had some moments where it was so bad it was quite amusing. Episode 1 was a pretty fun bad first episode and episode 9 had quite a nice idea in mind, but like always, something normal from studio Trigger, very poorly executed. I'm surprised they didn't push the fanservice aspect even more. The lonely deity base really doesn't make me care about the character or story either.

hihi! i've been pretty okay, just looking for a job atm while i do other things like practicing drawing and playing games and watching stuff. Not a whole lot has been happening on my end but that's okay. How about you? i hope you've been well

I watched Odd Taxi a few months back, and I was not that impressed. Initially it seemed quite promising to me, but the show really relies on a single plot twist at the end. The twist is based on a very medical condition that is not very realistic, and as someone who is educated on these conditions, it felt quite amateur and ruined the tone of the show after. But it was not that bad throughout, I quite liked the protagonist, although he was too stoic for my liking. The directing was decent as well, making the show pretty compelling on the eyes at times. I don't really understand the praise it receives though, in summary I would give it a pass.
