And I really let him down. Sokka: I think your Uncle would be proud of you. Leaving your home to help us? That must have been hard. Zuko: ...Wasn't that hard. Sokka: Really? You didn't leave behind anyone you care about? Zuko: Well, I did have a girlfriend, Mai. Sokka:*Surprised* That gloomy girl who sighs a lot? Zuko: Yeah... *smiles weakly* Everyone in the Fire Nation thinks I'm a traitor... I couldn't drag her into it. Sokka: My first girlfriend turned into the moon... *frowns* Zuko:*Pauses* ...That's rough, buddy.

•º Zuko:*Trying to comfort Sokka* Ugh... what would Uncle say? ...Sometimes clouds have two sides, a dark and light, and a silver lining in between. It's like a silver sandwich! So when life seems hard, just take a bite out of the silver sandwich. Sokka: Maybe we haven't failed after all! Zuko: That's the spirit. I can't believe that worked. Sokka: Mmm...hmm.... Tell me more about this 'Fire Lord'. Why are you so afraid of him? Aang: You said it yourself. He's the baddest man on the planet! I'm supposed to defeat him and save the world! Sokka: Mmm... Life does feel that way sometimes, doesn't it? Like we're all trying to save the world from evil?
•º Zuko:Ugh! Why am I so bad at being good?
•º *Suki greets Zuko* Sokka: Oh, good. You guys have met. Suki: Actually, we met a long time ago. Zuko: ...We did? Suki: Yeah. You kind of burned down my village. *pause* Zuko: Oh, I'm sorry about that... Nice to see you again.
•º *Mai has disabled all of the guards on the gondola platform and freed the gondola line Guard: What are you doing?! Mai: Saving the jerk who dumped me.
•º Zuko: That... Wasn't a good play. Aang: I'll say. Katara: No kidding. Suki: Horrible. Toph:You said it. Sokka: But the effects were decent.
•º *At the end of the series, Mai walks into Zuko's room before his coronation* Zuko: Mai! You're okay...! They let you out of prison? Mai: My uncle pulled some strings. And it doesn't hurt when the new Fire Lord is your boyfriend. Zuko: ...So does that mean you don't hate me anymore? Mai: I think it means, I actually kind of like you. *They kiss, but then Mai jabs a threatening finger into Zuko's chest* Mai: But don't ever break up with meagain. *Zuko smiles sheepishly and they embrace*
•º Katara: What do you think, Aang? Do I act like a mom? Aang:*Rubbing his eyes Well, I... Katara: Stop rubbing your eye and speak clearly when you talk! Aang: Yes, ma'am!

The Slice of Life Club is pleased to announce we made it to 600+ members! We won't have any milestone LE cards for 600, but the 500 milestone cards are still in the process of being made (due to the club growing so fast we're a bit behind). Zensunni will have the best kiss scene LE cards up soon.

The Slice of Life Club has reached over 250 members! We're soon on our way to 300. To get a sneak peek at our couples theme milestone cards for 300 members, click here. You can suggest couples to be turned into cards. Toridoshi will make any suggested couples as long as she can find good fanarts of them and they are part of the Slice of Life genre.
As most of you know, we had an ongoing tournament for the 100 milestone LE cards. The tournament has come to an end and the cards are available to request (courtesy of zensunni). Only the first one hundred people that request can get one of these cards. To request one, click here.
The Slice of Life Club will be holding our first event! In the future we'll do banner making events for the club with card and profile pictures rewards for the winners, but we decided to start out with something a little different for the first event. The first event will be a scavenger hunt across MAL. There will be four teams for the event and the winning team will get to pick between winning a LE Haruhi Suzumiya card or a LE Takashi Natsume card. We need at least 40 people to participate.
