SynopsisThe Shirakiin house's daughter, Shirakiin Ririchiyo, who has a complex about being unable to live independently and unprotected, feels the need to move out and live on her own under the condition of residing in the mansion named "Ayakashi Kan." In this mansion, only those who have cleared a very strict examination could reside in it, and for each resident, they are accompanied with one agent of the Secret Service (S.S.). Although Riricho has rejected the company of the S.S., while residing in the mansion she finds out that the agent dedicated to protecting her is actually the Fox Spirit whom she previously rescued. |

Despite the shortage of English translations i absolutely adore this series as it offers great potential in upcoming volumes through strong character and a blend of supernatural and romance.
Great character development has created intriguing characters. The drawing/style of this series is beautiful and in particular I admire the fashion or costuming of the characters.
Overall thoroughly recommended :)

I have to say, when I started reading it, I got interested but as the chapters went by somehow I got the feeling that mangaka really wasn't good at story telling.
Don't get me wrong, this manga is not that bad but I felt it didn't rise to its full potential. Discovery about male main character came too sudden and it kinda rushed things from then on.
Even so, the idea was interesting, art was good and I enjoyed most of it. And, from what I can tell, there are hints that something bigger is going to happen. I'll wait for that...

Both have strange love starts, but it both grows deeper into something really heart rendering.

- Both series feature great art that can be considered eye candy.
- Both series focus on the residents of the mansion who are eccentric people who can't fit in the society.
- Has romance, slice-of-life, and drama.
- Male lead has an intriguing past.
- [almost] All characters are bishounen and bishoujo.
- Overall same atmosphere, reading The Sleepy Residents of Birdcage Manor reminded me of Inu x Boku SS.
