| Made of epic win! That was so awesome. Tengen Toppa final fights came to mind from explosions, except of the medieval setting. Oda was one of the ruthless guy. Ichi's dark spirit power was strange though. Great ending, up for season 2 |

| Great start, great end. The middle was bad enough for me to give it a 6, but me being a history/Sengoku fag and all, I had to give it at least a 7. It took them FOREVER to show Chousakabe(the anchor riding,wave surfing dude in purple) and Mouri(the dude in green) again since episode 1, and more than half the series to show Toshiie and Matsu again. At least I'm pretty certain season 2 |

| kinda rushed a bit, but i didn't expect much so ehh. also majorly confusing introducing random characters at the end there, but since there's a confirmed second season idc. bit of a letdown, but i'm chalking that up to the long wait between watching 10 and finishing! (waited for ep 11 subs to surface before watching ep 12.) |

| Yukimura and Masamune defeat Nobunaga in a hot-blooded boss fight? No complaints with that. Mitsuhide probably has the funniest anime death scene in recent memory, and Date's quotes were too much this episode "LOVIN' IT!". Good animation, Great voice acting, Amusing over the top moments: 7/10 I'll be back for more hilarious Engrish catchphrases next season. |
| Ichi finally died in the end, though what she pulled on Nouhime was cool...and yet, at the same time, I can only wonder what it was and how it came about. The episode was definitely rushed and I actually wanted the archer kid to die. He's a kid, sure, but on the battlefield, you're still an enemy. I didn't like how everybody came rushing when basically the fight was already over (plus, it was reserved to Date and Yukimura) so it would have been nicer if they arrived earlier and actually did more. Additionally, some of them who were introduced in the beginning (generals) never got any air time except for a few seconds in the beginning and a few seconds at the end of the series. All right series. I gave it a seven but it might be brought down to a six if I think harder on it. |

| A good end I guess to a decent show. It slumped during the middle after an awesome start, but overall I'm not disappointed I sat through the whole show, despite having other series I like more sitting on the back-burner. Though it's nice to sit back and enjoy a simple action show from time to time. Sure it wasn't too deep, but I was entertained for the most part. And I still love those first two episodes, can't stress that enough. |

| So she had a mysterious power, well the way they defeated him wasn't as epic as what I was expecting but that's fine. Second season should be fun although it's some time next year. |
| Overall I enjoyed it. Great fights, art, animation, and characters each had their own unique thing about them. Very over the top. Too many japanese names was overwhelming at times so much I had to keep the character page open and check back sometimes. Looking forward to the second season and hope it has a better story (doubtful though). |

| This anime was pure greatness, it gave me my action scene for every episode and all of them were greatness. The main boss was a fuckin g who could actually be taken seriously rather than some punk bitch that most animes give main bosses. He was so much of a g that it took 2.5 other g characters just to kill him. Date Masamune (the dragon guy i believe) was a super g. this anime had too many characters of high g-ness, but thats a good thing. this anime has become my favorite over all that i have seen. im actually having trouble finding another anime to watch due to its lack of greatness. if you have a suggestion of another great anime let me know cuz im bored now that i finished sengoku basara. |

| OHH MY, THAT WAS OUT OF THE WORLD EPICNESS. IT WAS A DECENT ENDING. I LOVED HOW ALL OF THEM SHOWED POWERS THAT IS OUT OF THIS WORLD, OOHH MAN, POWERS, POWERS, AND MORE POWERS! Okay, so that Grim Reaper was gay. Sucks to be him. Good to see Oda die, although I will miss him since he was a great villain. Also, I wouldn't question how did Nouhime die because this show is about powers that is out of my league, lol. It's also good to see them back. Fighting for te land without Oda and his dictatorship. Tiger of Kai and War God, Yukimura and Masamune, yum very nice indeed. I'd give this a 7/10. Now, I want a second season. :3 More powers please. >:D |
| Really enjoyed this series. Havin' Wakamoto as a villain really made it for me. Epic voice that man has. Date and Yukimura were awesome. I loved all the interactions between Kenshin and Kasuga. Knew that both Kenshin and the Tiger of Kai Takeda would be alrite. Was good to see them fighting at the end :D. One thing that had me absolutely rollin' though was Mitsuhide's gasmin' at bein' slashed and killed. Jeez. That bloke was mental. :B Will be watchin' the second season when it comes out. For more OYAKATASAMA! YUKIMURA! moments. Loved it. |

| God, what a fantastic series. I don't think any other anime has kept me sitting in one place through 10 straight episodes before. I loved every aspect of this series! I can't wait to see more of Motonari Mouri and Motochika Chousokabe next season. I have a feeling we'll be seeing them a lot. By the way, did they show Naoe Kanetsugu while all the troops were on their way to fight Nobunaga? I'm a big fan of the character, I hope to see at least a little more of him next season. :P |

| 12 episodes, and I'm still going "wtf?". Not only they killed the Demon King, they killed my common senses too. And so much for hating on Mitsuhide for thinking war is a game, feels like they're doing the same. Episode 1: Someone OP (over-powered) appeared ~~~~~ Episode 2-11: Let's get a whole guild to pwn the OP guy! ~~~~~ Episode 12: Alright, the OP guy logged off, let's continue our noob battles. |
| Looked like they really went out there with the alternate historical endings, and I love it. From episode one I knew the combat scenes would be over the top ridiculous. It's a shame though that it lacked skill, as it was more about flash and flare. Oh well, I would still give this my inflated score of 9, just because the ending was pretty decent, the music was epic, lovely animation, I found the characters actually pretty well written, and the series was not afraid to make alternate endings related to actual history. |

| Pure awesomeness indeed. I've rarely enjoyed an action anime so much before. High expectations from the second season. Brilliant music, flashy adrenaline pumping fights and well cut out characters plus I can't get enough of Date. This gets a golden 8 from me. |

| I gave this anime a 7 but even so I have a feeling I'm overrating it. It's probably because I started watching this anime with considerably high expectations which were unfortunately not fulfiled. Starting with characters, although I found some likeable ones there, the annoying ones outmatched them by far and the only one I'd actually like to see again is Masamune. Then the story, which could maybe be more interesting/even engrossing if they gave us more time to digest it, is too rushed and thus very shallow. However, what striked me as plain ridiculous were the hugely exaggerated effects. Wait..to call them just "effects" is not right. At the beginning I thought that the "effects" are just to show the will or the passion in fight, but then people started flying after one swing of katana, spear or six katanas or whatever. Something like this would be perfectly fine in Bleach but in this anime it just seemed absurd. Though the utmost absurdity was reched in the final fight against Oda...I have no more words for it. And not to forget... a 'cherry on top' would be the mysterious "power" (or whatever that could be?) that miraculously helped Ichi out of the deadly situation... Well, to sum it up... i don't feel like watching the second season (but will probably give it a try) |

| Horrible anime. I watched it to it's end just because I don't just drop animes(except if they're like 150 episodes long or so). Characters wasn't developed at all, overpowered generals blowing like thousands soldiers were even worse. Actually there wasn't plot at all or this was the worst plot ever. Even the most stupid game/anime would have used something better than some ultimate evil wishing to destroy everything. And the main generals are like always equal - Sana Yukimura vs. Date Masamune and Kenshin vs. Takeda - 12 crappy episodes and not a single of these duels was resoluted. Worst samurai anime ever. Maybe this can get into the 10 worst animes ever. Ending was soooooo bad. Wait, did they just went to space and then used some overpowered attack coming out of nowhere? And what happened in the end? We hit the spot where the anime actually started at. Yeah, nothing changed except the fact that Oda died, without leaving any significant mark after himself(actually this anime ended where it started) and yeah, few supporting characters died in some really stupid ways. Wait, did Ichi followed her hallucination just to do nothing and get killed? Gave it 4/10 too early, probably it doesn't worth even that much, but let's say I gave 1 point for every thing I kinda liked. Only things I kinda' liked was Date Masamune's english phrases, the moment when Keiji drew his sword and actually was doing something for a few seconds, and the character Sarutobi Sasuke(yeah, he wasn't that bad). Yeah, that's the worst anime I watched to now. |

| Well, that's one way to make a return to the battlefield. Too bad it was over so quickly. If you want over-the-top action based somewhat on historical persons, this is definately one of the animes to see. |

| FUCKING MANLY. I'm glad I watched this series. Mitsuhide is far beyond the definition of masochist. LoL. Oda went out like a punk. Date Masamune and Yuukimura were just badass. Ichigo and co. made an epic entrance as well. Everything is back to how it should of been. Man, I can't wait to order the game online and wreck people SB style. I don't care what anyone says or criticizes, I liked this anime. I didn't pick it up for plot twists and story writing in the first place. I have many other anime for that. LET'S PARTY |

| I was kind of disappointed, how this season ended. Mitshuhide was supposed to kill Nobunaga and then get killed by Hideyoshi, not the way they did in the Anime. I mean, they got the historical nicknames right, so why didn't they do the story historical right? |

Dx Mitsuhide was just well creepy good thing I had the sound down or my parents would be thinking I was watching porn. xD The final battle was exciting. very fun series and I loved the opening and ending. 9/10 Now off to watch the second season I hope to see more "YUKIMURA" "OYAKATA-SAMA" moments and falco punches. xD |

| BLAH! That sure was one hell of an epic episode! I remember how I hated it(probably the most) out of all the S1 episodes, but now, when I liked every single one, this one is sure one of my favorites. I enjoyed Mitsuhide's last moments, he's just friggin psycho, I just can't get enough of his attitude! And my most favorite lines of his almost made me scream because of it's epicness: "You call yoursel the Right Eye, that means you don't need your left eye, right?" Chousokabe's appearance was too short but still he made it in time somehow. And Mouri was way more epic even if he said just few words. The rainbow attack was so epic, I just never saw it coming! Back then I hated the ilogical comeback of Date and Sanada, but now it felt just great! And now my overall score(which will overwrite the one before this re-watch): Too bad we didn't get the awesome ED this time, despite I was feeling like it will happen this way anyway. 1. Characters. +1. One of the reasons I started re-watching this anime was because of the characters. As the time passed I finally understood how great they actually are. My most favorites are probably Date, Chousokabe, Mouri, Matsunaga, Kenshin. 2. Atmosphere. +1. This anime is full of epic atmosphere. I can't really explain it, it's all up to you to understand it's true feeling. But the simplest way to say why I like it - the feeling you get when the greatest character fight for the sake of the fight. 3. OST. +1. The soundtrack was really great, I like every track out of it. 4. Animation. +1. Can you really ask for better animation? Be it the the overall art or just the techniques, it was totally great! 5. Background story. Ok, I won't give point here, just because there wasn't background story, despite this anime really didn't need one. 6. Storyline. +1. It was well put, the 3-4 main parts of it were totally ok for me. 7. Ending. +1. Perfect ending. 8. Fight scenes. +1. Totally giving a point. Sengoku Basara is one of the animes with best fights! 9. Drama. +1. The last time I watched SB I didn't felt like there was any drama at all, but now I think that drama has one considerable part in this anime, even if it's way more lighthearted than in the most animes. In any way it's well put in. 10. Overall feeling. +1. I had totally no problem anytime when re-watching this anime. Despite that I totally hated Sengoku Basara on my first watch - not only I did not find any smell of sense in it, but I actually didn't find a thing to like out of it. Back then I even gave 4/10 while wondering what for in the world I started watching this shit. The contrast with now and then is so strong that it even makes me like this anime even more. Every moment out of it felt great now and the only thing I regret is that there is no more(out of Season 1). Bonus(extra) point for:... +1. The Sengoku Basara spirit. Probably that's the main reason I started re-watching Season 1. At some point I understood with my heart the SB spirit - people fighting for the sake of the fight. Even if it may seem shallow to you, it's actually something you don't see in every anime and it's even more rarer for this aspect to get so much attention in any anime. Just like the case where we got an EVA pilot who loved with her whole heart to control the EVA, but it happened just now, after so many years. Overall Score(re-watch): 10/10. Can't wait to re-watch Season 2(whiche i liked so much even on my first watch). |
