| Finally, Yuki Kaji can stop using his annoyingly whiny boy voice. Why are some people bitching about Mikasa's look? What, she can't look hot and be badass at the same time? Excited for next episode, and I agree, OST is pretty great so far. |

the producer seems to buff Mikasa a little bit, oh well doesn't matter as long as they still keep her original design in some where like ... <3 forever Mikasa oh wait, the best thing in this ep was when dat Ironman showed up, truly epic and stunning, dat running animation, all the destruction combined with epic music ... gave me goosebumps. This scene was 10 times better than the manga. Now let's wait and see ... |

| I think they missed a small dramatic opportunity by not actually showing 10,000 people or whatever being whittled down to 100. Still good. |

| 10/10 for the adaptation. Instead of flashbacks "on demand" during the series, IG decided to seed them here as clues, which (I think) gives far better understanding of the world they (will) live in, enriches the characters (especially Armin's) and the story as well. And I absolutely love that they didn't jump on the next chapter, leaving the attack on Shiganshima as some random action trigger, but took the time to show the helplessness, the terror, the suffering, and the ugliness of fear (the fight for food, the attitude of the soldier of Wall Rose, the doom of the refuges facing titans, but in fact sacrificed by fellow humans). |

Cannons and muskets seem to be pointless on the Titans, except to slow them down so it makes sense armor wouldn't be much help. |

And fyi, I was defending Eren in episode one. Some things he did and say in episode two are indefensible. Why do you think it included Mikasa punching him in the face and forcing him to eat bread? Even I thought he was right in telling those soldiers off, but more props have to be given to Armin for defusing the situation. And yes, I know Eren had just seen his mom get eaten, but he was still way off in accusing Armin of being livestock for telling him that he shouldn't go and fight the Titans. It's just an anime. We move on. |

There's no kid that doesn't act like a little prick every now and then and after all the crap that's going on here I wouldn't be surprised. He's as you say, 'expressing his emotions'. The others feel the same considering all the shit they went through, but they're trying to keep themselves together, but Eren can't do that since even before all this he has always despised living in those walls and the situation just broke him more. Yeah, throwing the bread was dumb, calling Armin out like that was dick move, but he can't control his emotions right now. He's not like Mikasa who's always calm or Armin who uses his brains and common sense to realize their situation, so he just spoke out on how he felt. I think people who have this problem with him will be more pleased with Eren soon though. |
