| I'm not into jazz and I was never really fond of it. It's just not my style. And yet I love this series. Even though I still need time to accustomed to OP & ED. The characters are amazing and I really love them. Especially Sentaro. He's funny and always seems happy. Quite a contrast with Kaoru. But that's that makes this series so good. |

| rewatched the op like 10 times before watching the whole episode, just amazing xD 0:40 to 1:30 was awesome :D might consider this already to be in my favorite list along with Nodame Cantabile :D |

There really wasn’t anything that great in this episode. They fit two episodes worth of material into one so it came out really rushed. The only thing special in the episode was the high quality of the animation for the drumming sequence. But, it was those brilliant parts of the first episode that tells us this show is going to be something special (though it definitely isn’t right now). The good news is that they were able to lay the out the entire foundation so episode two should be much better and I expect that they’ll reach a more appropriate pace. What is going to make or break this anime is if they can maintain the high quality animation for the music parts. It is also going to be interesting to see what the focus will be. Will it be about school life with jazz on the side or will it be about playing jazz with school on the side? |
God damn. What else is there to say, really? That pretty much sums up the first episode. I can't add to it. |

Instead they are getting a story about friendship tied around American jazz, things most parents of the 60s didn't like (Beatles were about to show up at this time). I love the fact we don't need to worry about computers or cell phone or really anything high tech or futuristic. The 60s were a time of changing and, hopefully, we'll see some of it reflected in this series. (btw, I was born in '66...lol) |

| I just started reading the manga. The pace right now is 2 chapters per episode. I only have the first 5 chapters. I don't know what to expect after chapter 5. LOL |

| Wow by the first episode and i am soo in love with it. Kaoru and Sentarou are just soo handsome, total cuties. Love how Kaoru plays the piano, i melted, and Sentarou with the drums was soo cool and up beat. I love the humor and a very nice slice of life. I just enjoy watching anime like this. |
| I had been ignoring this because I don't like jazz and I thought there was gonna be some BL in this, but literally every opinion I've heard about this show except for maybe one or two has been incredibly positive. Well, I finally couldn't take it any more and decided to watch this and damn, I'm blown away, and it was only one episode. I feel like I just got a huge amount of story injected into me in just a brief 22 minutes or so. I love the characters, the music is actually awesome, and I cannot wait to see where this is going. I feel like a damn fool for ignoring this. Color me impressed. |

| Good stuff, you can more easily relate to this if you're a musician (like myself) that likes jazz, but either way, this is still some amazing stuff. Pretty cool that Watanabe is able to pull off a legitimate jazz anime. I've never seen a drum solo animated that well... o.o |

| =/, People saying his drumming matched the rhythm, that really isn't hard if you blur the drumsticks however I will give credit where credit is due and say they did get a nice drumming soundtrack. However I would also like to say that I'm a little disappointed that this anime might revolve around just a Piano and drums... without the winds Jazz pieces just lack something. Also no bass... I dunno, gonna watch it definitely however was hoping they would incorporate pieces I really like however that isn't gonna work if their are only two people. |
