You're not alone, I think the same thing. I love how the girls look when they are in their tight uniforms.

I see what you mean, there's no panty shots except for LAN, but they have nice asses.

It seemed he, jubijubi tried to kill Muginami to make Madoka irate and invoke Green Vox's sealed power. Flower of Lagrange.
If it's true, I think he's now just a bastard who will not hesitate to do anything in order to carry out his purpose.

I have no idea what happened in the end of this episode. but further more, I couldn't understand why Muginami try to defend him, who tried to kill herself just before.

Because she blames herself, not him.

It's frustrating as hell, but it is a real world thing. Some women, and more rarely men, will stay in an abusive (sometimes life threatening, sadly eventually fatal) relationship because they blame themselves when their partner beats them up.

Just from profesional experience. And a bit on off-topic: both man and women in quite similar propotions (or maybe it's just here, but I don;t think so). Plus there is more than just blame - they stay because of some twisted feeling of benefits from those relations. Thats why it's hard to end them, and simply saying "Leave him" makes no impact.

But here is also, I think, that she doesn't understand why he did it. So there is conflict - between her carying for him and his actions. But she should find her way to deal with it.

I think they even showed that last episode, when she was bragging about how much better off she is just blindly following that guy's orders while she pitied everyone else for using their own brains. While that sickened me so much I didn't want to write about it back then, I guess it partially explained her recent actions.

If she's so convinced of Villagiulio's infallibility, it makes sense that she doesn't abandon that belief within a day. It's still nauseating, but it adds a motive I can somewhat comprehend.

It's not about that at all. If you look at the preview it implies highly that Muginami got her life saved instead of being abandoned to become like Sheryl around the streets to live off. Grabbing left over foods and who knows what illnesses due to malnutrition. It clearly also shows that wherever Muginami was it got destroyed.

So like let's do get it right. Guy saves her life and if he did she would not be in this world so.... do think Muginami will not do all to be with him if he does die. In fact I think Muginami wanted to repay him for saving her. Well clearly that is the impression I get from the PV.

That was awesome.
Muginami still trying to protect her brother since she thinks it's her fault.
Madoka's craft 'exploding' and knocking everyone out?

I always though mister squinty eyes wasn't to be trusted. I wonder what he's up to how he's seen the Vox's blossoming power for himself. Muginami's still defending the guy after he called her a parasite, basically.

Ok am starting to get troubled by how little gets explained here and how little questions people ask.
Madoca never seems to ask for details on why the hell she's doing exactly and who are this bad guys or there exact goals.
And the viewers know even less than the characters. What is this organization with the alien aircraft? Why are they so obedient to that suspiciously looking Alien guy?
Also many characters seem to know what the hell is this myth or whatever with those robots but we get nothing.

Arrrrg Muginami is driving me crazy, I'm really starting to hate her. Lan, on the other hand, still has my heart.
And what was this sparkley flowery stuff that was being emitted from Madoka's Vox at the end? Can't wait until next episode~

As always, I wrote a complete review of this episode on my blog ^.^

Now this is what the anime should be about, wholly. Everything was so epic, just needed to actually let Kirius get involved..and where did Array go? The take off sequence of the rocket was awesome as was the
, my mind was blown, these production values for graphics are awesome.

Muginami sealed her fate for me for becoming essentially Inoue level, such a terrible character in this anime and worthless. Worst character this season.

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS ANIME ABOUT?!?!

Am I the only one very disturbed by the fact that this anime doesn't explain ANYTHING???

The reason why I'm asking this question at episode 6 is because usually by now the viewer knows what the plot is.

YES, the animation is very nice, the artwork is beautiful, and the characters seem pretty interesting, but....

I HAVE NO IDEA WTF IS GOING ON!!!

The characters don't question anything, the story doesn't make sense...the only thing we know is that there are two opposing factors battling each other.

I'm really having a hard time figuring out what this anime is about. All I really see is Mecha eye candy, and that's okay I'm just dissapointed that this anime isn't looking any more than that. One thing that kind of dissapoints me is that in the previous episodes Madoka was having a hard time just piloting the robot and now she's dodging a rainfall of bullets and fighting of space robot Apocalypses. Too sudden... too sudden...

Madoka never had trouble piloting the Vox. She said it herself in the second episode, that the Vox moved exactly the way she wanted it to (similar to the Evangelions I persume).

Like someone watches this for it's plot. It's all about the action. Apart from that, the non action scenes are dull and boring. This episode was way better than the last two. Muginami still sucks.

Yeah, I payed attention and I got most of this - everyone else must have been distracted by the pretty colors - haha!

Anyway, I actually like the setup - but I can tell that as the anime goes on, it will gradually get darker - I can't wait to see how it does that!

Also, it may be worth noting that I think that it's Le Garite that De Metrio is fighting in space. I believe Moid and Lan came to earth to gain their trust and get the vox's ready, because Earth has all three of them, and because they do, De Metrio will end up attacking them with their full force. his is what he is talking about when Moid says: "De Metrio's main force is coming."

And that's because so far this anime is doing a piss, poor job at explaining things.

I'm NOT the only one that feels confused in this anime, just read the comments, the anime doesn't properly explain the "story" or "plot" or whatever it is they're doing.

The viewer is left to IMPLY what is really going on and the anime is hoping the viewer gets it right.

Also, what good is it if I have to read what the anime is about from a fucking forum!!!

That's NOT the way a story should be done.

Now you should wonder if the Voxs did that and self escaped with their AI to earth having a guilt themselves of doing that since their AI is close to human like.

The people on this forum got their information watching the same episodes you watched. There's not even a manga or novel involved here - the anime is all there is.

Also, this is the 6th episode and the studio is obviously planning on doing 24 of them (over 2 seasons), so solving all that stuff at this point would make the rest rather boring. The main focus of this anime is on Madoka, how she got sucked up in that conflict and how she and several others slowly find out what the involved factions are really up to. For now, Madoka fights for Le Garite because they got her first and it looks like they're defending earth from her point of view. They also got Lan, who is her friend and apparently a very good person.

If all that mystery is not your thing, you should better drop it now.

Not sure I agree that the Vox are intelligent, or even self-aware. Highly empathetic, for sure. They may 'just' act as a lens to (highly) amplify their pilot's emotions and convert such into function. Much like Roger Zelazny said of being a god: "Being a god is the quality of being able to be yourself to such an extent that your passions correspond to the forces of the universe, so that those who look upon you know this without hearing your name spoken."

Either way, this anime reminds me of Asura Cryin, it doesn't explain itself for 12 episodes and then it expects people to view a second season?

Kinda stupid in my opinion, the best way to make people interested in a story is to keep it simple but interesting enough so the viewer will keep watching.

Oh I understand your though train and indeed it may have as well be considering how the Vox reacted with Madoka';s feelings there. However I think it harbours those feelings to be more destructive and as a ends to that. Hence less you are a pure person, the Vox indeed may corrupt you badly.

Then how would they cancel the contract with them would make no sense. A Memoris is supposed to be a memory ignition with the Vox. Another thing that bothers me of why it needs your memory or it's called Memoria itself.

Now I would take into consideration your theory but I cannot accept the AI thing. They do have a AI that is close to humans because Aura would not react to Madoka ins saving her nor would suddenly Ignis understand the feeling of Muginami and allow it form a trust bond of Memoria right away if ti did not judge her feelings to be true and trustworthy along with the fact it assessed all that and decided to do the Memoria. To keep the audience busy for 24 episodes :-P Concerning Madoka, I think Le Garite's best point is Lan being with them. Madoka made friends with her and trusts her (as I do, too), so she might think "If Lan is one of them and introduces me to them, they can't be that bad.".

Also, those guys descending upon earth with huge, dark and armed robots, attacking that base and speeding towards Madoka's hometown definitely give the impression of being aggressors.

It also looks like Le Garite's only significant fighting forces are the three Voxes and Madoka and Lan are in control of 2/3 of those, so they could turn on them easily anytime.

Oh, and Madoka is still a teenager, so a little bit of naivete is perfectly natural and healthy.

By the way, I don't say the AI isn't very intelligent, I try to state that I don't believe it is the AI that escape themselves here...
I believe it is their pilots that sent them...

I am not actually that smart to actually think any confusing theory so I won't talk too much about my idea of how these Vox operate...

But at least I believe the Vox choose the pilot by certain standard...
That standard in my guess is their nature: Madoka is free like wind, Lan is calm like water, and Muginami is passionate like Fire...
My guess...

Dude, go back and read all the comments in this thread, I'm not the only one asking questions about why this anime is making little sense.

About Madoka action:
Just imagine this, you are a normal student with normal life, but suddenly an army of advance power attack your city without warning, you then approach by an opposing forces that help your city. Which side will you help?
And as far as Madoka see, what the enemy keep doing is: attack her hometown and hurt her friends, why would you side with them?

If you still can't understand why, just imagine this is your normal Shounen manga but you get the POV of the enemy as well...

Why the plot sound convoluted? Because this is pretty much Mawaru Penguindrum style of story without up-to-eleven absurdity...

About people who don't understand, as far as I see, only 4 people who claim don't understand the story...
Let me get straight, you want the story be summarize like Bleach does, but that isn't how this anime try to explain things...

They try to give you Madoka development first so when she actually get her hands to the war, the war no longer belittle by her sudden emo or such...
I believe they want the war to be epic and Madoka become part of this epicness instead become the gear that ruin such feeling...

Hope you all understand...

I appreciate all the responses for some of the comments I made, I definitely don't hate this anime, in fact I love the animation and artwork, simply fantastic!!!

However, I still feel that this anime is very confusing with very little details being known.

Hopefully it becomes more clear as the episodes go by.

Well to all of the people saying they dont understand you do realize this is the 6th episode of 24 right? Not everything is explained right now. You probably arent supposed to understand everything. If you knew everything that would make for a very boring plot. I hate anime that treat me like a 7 year old and explain every single thing that is going on. Personally I was surprised that people seemed to have issues figuring out what was going on. Make sure you arent using a crappy speedsub because sometimes the translation makes it hard to understand any of what is going on.

Anyways I cant wait to see exactly where this show goes.... I kinda want to see it get darker. They will probably move out into space sometime soon and into the forefront of the war.

It was an interesting episode I must say. I'm confused as to what the blooming is going to actually do.

I must say I was annoyed quite a lot by Muginami, the guy tried to kill her for god's sake and she still protects him. Those type of women who have grown so attached to a man to the point of stupidity really piss me off. Actually I have noticed that I hate 90% of the characters Kayano voices, and then I am indifferent to the rest, you'd think there would be 1 I'd actually like.

Muginami was still defending him after what he did... Well next episode looks like its going to delve into her past, gunna be interesting to see just what she had gone through. And why she's so attached to him.

"The Rin-Ne has blossomed!" Looking forward to seeing what the hell just happened lol.

Doesn't matter where this anime go. Three thumbs up for the vox's taking off and straight into sound barrier break. especially when muginami took off, i saw that clip like 10 times over!

I seriously don't know what is going on and into 6th episode too. But I will stick with it since I am already half way there. The preview of the next episode will say what happened in the past, but that guy freaken shot at her. There is no coming back. And if he turns out to be in the good side without any legitimate reason for pulling that trigger on her, I am so going to rate this anime a real low.

Animation as always, has been of top quality. And the girls are still pretty much likable. But I am not sure about Muginami yet. She was just being plain stupid but I hope they do a good flashback on her to show what she did wasn't an act out of whim.

Still remains my favorite of the season.

I also have my suspicions about Moid....something tells me he isn't so innocent at all...

and yes.....Rinne blossoming? What in the world does that mean...?

I hope the people complaining that this has no plot or that it's hard to follow what's going on never try to watch something with a truly confushing plotline they really will be in trouble.

WOW!

Did you see Mamiko Noto not giving a damn about indirect kisses?
Did you see how she drank the rest of that cup noodle because eating it otherwise was too time consuming?

What a boss.

I have tbh - I'm not really into the cutesy stuff and even the storyline overall - but visually (esp. the mecha and the backgrounds), and aurally this series really is a treat - I love how the Vox's shoot out that little circle when they take off...

Munigami is kind of pissing me off with her irrational behavior...

Hmm, the guy whose eyes are always closed seem to be up to no good. He reminds me so much of Gin from Bleach. So badass XD

What's a Rin-Ne?
I can't blame Muginami since she was adopted by Vuiguiro or whateverhisnamewas.
Moid is really suspicious.
