Huh, looks like you're right. For some reason I'd assumed that the three founding families of the Holy Grail War would be among the oldest, looks like I was wrong. Though i'm still not sure if I'd call Tokiomi a failure.

That's not just because of origin, though, but also mindset - only an "empty" person can "house" ubw.

Shirou's reality marble is solely there because of circumstances in which Emiya Shirou was born.

Origin change means changing a person completely. In that regard, his mindset is heavily influenced by his Sword origin, which leads to him getting his Reality Marble in the first place, so my wording is pretty consolidated and precise.

Alignment =/= Origin

When and where did I say that is the case? And also, his alignment likely became sword because of his origin.

CM3 said:
If alignment determines the root of one's magic, then even deeper than that, is the origin which determined the root of one's existence. The origin is not only for magi, but is the orientation that all things are born with and its existence itself is thought absolutely necessary.

Those magi with an origin that is strongly expressed outwardly are sometimes removed from the normal alignments and there are times that the origin itself becomes the alignment. Most of those magi exhibit their talents as extreme specialists.

Fai said:
Every magus has an elemental affinity/alignment. Shirou due to Avalon has his as Sword which allows him to materialize UBW, because of affinity for swords
And I said the same, so your point is...?

Fai said:
So yes, Shirou acts like a sword and thinks like a sword and likes sword and has natural affinity on handling them and his mind is "sharp" enough (hence eye of the mind) to perceive things(Too "sharp" even as his mind functions more like a computer than a human brain), but he is unaware of his origin, so it takes a CONSCIOUS choice to find yourself in helping others (Unlike Kotomine who chose to hurt others in order to find himself) and the way he "Feels" the emotions others experience is the basis for the mechanics of HIS UBW. If he did not have that mindset, he would not have UBW, because UBW is the ability tailored and made specifically for Emiya Shirou, who has nothing of his own inside and lived as a sword all his life in order to perceive the emotions of others.
I have no idea where you got that part with the "feel the emotions of others". Shirou's circuits are designed for a RM, same as Satsuki's, Avalon turned it into an infinite swords RM. That was my whole point. There wouldn't be any swords involved if Avalon hadn't changed his origin into sword.

Fai said:

Terrible speculation. Call it semantics, but UBW is UBW because it's UBW, an infinite sword factory. If his RM works differently from what we have seen, it's not UBW, and yes, I saw your quotation marks. What I'm saying is that his Reality Marble after HF will still be the infinite sword world.

We all know that those specialized mages can be also quite powerful.

He is not a specialized mage. He is a specialized assassin who simply has some magic knowledge.

And a small piece of a fairly powerful crest.

Tokiomi's not that much of a failure. Sure, he lacks talent, but I think it's mentioned in the novel that his ability is pretty good considering he's only 5th generation. Or was it that the Tohsaka line had come a long way in only 5 generations? Something like that.

All great families are shit at start of 4th. Tokiomi is a failure to the point that he is surprised at his daughters potentials. Rin singlehandedly upped the quality of the family afterward.

Episode that despite the action omnipresent in every minute of the narrative, manages to involve me 100% only in the second part where Kayneth puts cornered Emiya, who rightly wary of the words of others, had already prepared for the worst.
I like the character of Emiya.
Plot that moves forward in a very even have sent a detour on the main theme.
Very beautiful animations, but everything in this anime is fabulous starting from the soundtrack and ending with the characters.
Quality of the drawings today really high and magnificent scenery.
Rider's character is very sympathetic in wanting to show in the role of a normal person.

I remember being told F/Z doesn't even have much action, but there's sure been a whole hell of a lot of it these last few episodes.

Can someone explain why shiro/rin fanboys only bash F/Z ?.Everything from abilites of protagonists, to servants, master and the series as a whole?

1) Because they like FSN more than FZ
2) Because they had to fight lots of FZ fans who were disappointed by UBW 2014, so bashing FZ became a popular defense mechanism for them.

Great episode Kiritsugu's Reality Marble to effect time was really impressive he is a Beast!!!! Caster just needs to die a Slow and Painful death as well.

[Re-watch | BD version]

Oh poor Saber, Kiritsugu is totally ignoring you. She spoke to him twice, and twice she was ignored.
This Master-Servant relationship proved complicated. I mean, their approaches are so different, and Saber gets pissed off by Kiritsugu's methods. But girl you have to admit Kiritsugu delivers... oh right, you have not seen him in action... yeah.. that's a thing. You two are like fire and ice.

The scene between Kiritsugu and Irisviel... we can see how Kiritsugu is not made of steel. He has feelings and he is in constant battle with them. Leaving his family just to achieve his ultimate goal. Leaving everything behind just for the greater good. If I am not mistaken, in the Light Novel this scene is much more strong (feelings-wise), but I'd like to double-check that. In any case, you could easily see the pain in his face and hear it in his voice. He is a more complex character than he makes it appear.

Kiritsugu you killing machine... You really have Kayneth exactly where you want him. El-Meloi fall right into the trap.
He does not conceive a scenario where his pride is crushed with him, but pal, that scenario is reality. And bam! The episode ends.

The music and FX in this episode were amazing. Not that it is not always like that, but in this episode was a little bit better, just enough notice it.

5 days and 10 hours remaining.

Nice animation. And the anime ships Lancer and Saber. Caster evidently likes tentacle hentai very much.

Kiritsugu using the magic was awesome. Even though he is cheating on his wife with Maiya and putting himself in danger by directly fighting another master. I ship Saber and Kiritsugu however.

The Archibald has liquid balls of mercury. Innuendo intended.

Okay the child torture/murder needs to stop. It's the only thing that's bothering me. Fucking kill him already. Villains should be villainous without being so unwatchable that I want to turn the show off. I hope Lancer impales that fucker.

If Saber has an unhealed wound, then how hasn't she bled out? It's been over a day now and it doesn't seem like she's still bleeding? Is the injury unhealed but somehow the actual cut has scabbed over? I don't get it.
