Welcome to the second "Tsundere or Not" thread. This series of threads will help people to understand more about tsundere and their traits.
Vote for the character's level of tsundere in the poll, 1 being the lowest and 5 means she's an ultimate tsundere character. Please understand the term, as written in the club page, prior to voting. If you may, please also provide reasons why do you believe the character deserve the rating you give.
I have only seen her interact with her female friends, and there she comes of as very tsundere, but since i have never seen her interact with someone she has any romantic interest in (not counting h-doujins that is xD ) i only gave her a four. After all she complains so often that she wants a boyfriend, very un-tsundere-ish!
It's pretty clear that Kagami is a tsundere - even characters within Lucky Star, particularly Konata, are quick to point this out.
Kagami's "tsun tsun" moments tend to happen when she's out with her friends - scolding Tsukasa for being careless with her cell phone, or Konata for not studying and copying everyone's homework, or Misao for being forgetful. They're just little scolds, but they add up to really develop her "tsun tsun" side.
Kagami's "dere dere" side is less frequently seen, but also less subtle. For example, in an early scene in the series, Konata pays Kagami a visit while Kagami is sick - and for a moment, Kagami blushes heavily, thinking to herself how glad she is that someone cared enough to come see her. In another scene, Konata scolds her friend Patty for not thinking through the details of a big plan carefully enough - and then Kagami volunteers herself to set things straight. That's pretty typical "dere dere" stuff.
Plus, Kagami even does the classic "here's some chocolate, but don't get the wrong idea, we're not really friends" routine at some point - a dead giveaway for a tsundere.
However, since she's not as over-the-top as the most epic tsundere, Kagami checks in as a 4 out of 5 on the scale, in my opinion.
Oh and DarkBlue raises a good point about the lack of male tsuntdere action we see in the story. However it's quite obvious how she would act. Of course, you can also count her interactions with kona-chan as the way she would interact with her 'significant other' :3
I would have to give Kagami a 3. I think if she was surrounded by more responsible people then she would not be as tsuntsun than she is with the rest of her friends. Look at her interactions with Miyuki, she seems pretty normal. She loves her friends but they frustrate the crap out of her especially Konota.
Since she does get stubborn with her feelings I can't say she isn't a tsundere.
I gave her a 4. She only got a 4, because her Tsuntsun moments show rather embarrassment, than anger (the topic pic is an exaggeration, but Tsundere fans had to make it :D btw it's very good <3). Still, that, her eyebrows' normal position pointing downwards reminding me of anger, and her rare deredere moments give her a good enough Tsundere impression.
A 5 from me, she was the first anime character whom I defined to be a tsundere after learning what the term meant.
Humans are shameless creatures that carelessly ignore any misfortune which does not befall them directly. They can --and often do-- turn a blind eye to all manner of wickedness so long as it does not touch them or their kin. They will bow thier heads, condemning those victims for bringing calamity upon themselves, and cast their eyes toward heaven in thanks while their neighbours lay dying around them. ~Soren, Fire Emblem: Path Of Radiance
Because there are no male chars that she interacts and therefore can be tsundere towards I'd say she cand rly fit into the category. But I can still gief her a solid 4/5 tsundere for how she WOULD act if it were to come to the... *ahem*...
And for me she's my favourite Tsundere character.
Yeah true that there are no boys around that we can see she interact with.
But anyway she's clearly a Tsundere character and for me an ultimate tsundere ever!
Because have you seen any other Tsundere that dosen't have any boy around and still is clearly a Tsundere character?
I haven't seen any ;)
I think she is a tsundere cuz of 2 reasons. 1 she acts alot like it and has many traits and 2 they even mention her as tsundere in the actual show in Lucky Channel, so if that doesn't scream tsundere I don't know what does
