I'm 22 years old, female, and not a particularly good student at my college. My problem is that, while I love the learn, I don't like school or homework all that much. ^.^;; I've only gotten into anime in the past few years (since I was around 16, though I didn't discover fansubs until about a year ago.) but I've found it's one of my favorite things. Unfortunately, I have about a billion hobbies including anime, and I'm behind in all of them, thanks to my squirrel-esque attention span and wide range of interests.
I'm not particularly picky as far as anime genres, apart from the fact that in general I don't enjoy military or mech themed anime. That isn't to say that I won't watch a series automatically if they are in that genre, merely that It's a minus one in my minds priority "To Watch" list. I've started to realize I'm kind of male-blind when it comes to anime, though I occasionally will frickin adore a random male character (like Kyon from SSnY and Yuuichi, from Kanon '06 -- who are basically the same person -- and Renton from Eureka 7). Most of my anime rules are a general thing... my tastes are too wide in every sense to really pinpoint particular things I will always like or not like. Like everything else in my life, I generally prefer to let the source prove it's worth on it's own terms.
