| Nope, I used to. My depression drove me to seclude myself, then I stopped caring about having friends since all the hobbies I developed during my seclusion are best done alone. Now, I find myself slightly longing for friends to do fun things with, but my personality clashes with that iota of a wish. I do talk to coworkers everyday, joke around and such, but I couldn't become friends with any of them. |

| I have none — after highschool, none ever attempted to contact me again, and even while I oftentimes actively pursued their activities and approached them to schedule meetings, I would not receive an answer. This was approximately six years ago, and I have not had a friend since then. On top of that, the acquaintances I have made online, have also given me the could shoulder. I would not know if I am fine with this; my emotions tied to social experiences fluctuate from day to day. Sometimes, I am perfectly content with not socializing for weeks. Sometimes, the loneliness becomes too overwhelming. |

| I have a couple of close friends who I love with all my heart. One of them wasn't even in my school, I met him accidentally at a debate fest. And he was a mutual friend of some kid I knew. I could always count on him for a good laugh. He's eccentric and brilliant. The other one is special to me, She and I went to a lot of the same parties. And usually we'd dance on the floor even if everyone else was too shy or awkward to go forward and do so. She was fun and lively, beautiful and intelligent. I love her. We're all in different cities now, We don't talk everyday, it's a pretty low maintenance relationship and I don't mind that. Aside from them I have a couple of other a friends who aren't as close and I am not so open with. But they're just as sweet. I like bragging about people I love :D |

| Sometimes I really wonder. I mean it is not like we actually like each other more than maybe 10% of time. These are people I've known for decades. It's certainly not like BFFs or the beautiful bromance, it is just reality. I guess the only thing that binds us together is a very thin line of respect and awareness that while it isn't perfect, it is all there is. Sure there are new people, but they will not be your "friends" who know every bad personality trait you possess and every bad thing you did. Maybe you can really know a person too well. |

| Yeah, and a lot of us are all going to the same university next year so that's a huge plus ^.^ Some of them aren't exactly the most reliable people (always late, lazy, etc.), but I know that they're all supportive and care for me, and that's a really nice feeling. I don't know why, but it's much easier for me to make friends irl than online. |

| I don't have any friends that live nearby, and honestly the ones who live far away I feel emotionally distant from as well. I think we've grown in very opposite directions with so much distance between us (they are in Texas, I am in Washington) that I have a hard time relating anymore. Well, to be blunt it sucks. I don't remember when I first noticed I didn't have friends anymore. I try to keep myself busy and productive so I don't notice. Got a cat and dog to keep me company at home, and it helps a little bit. I can't say I'm alone, though. I do have a boyfriend, but his work keeps me from seeing him often. People need more than just their relationship partner, though, so the friend thing is pretty real. It's kinda depressing to spend so much time alone at home. >_> I recently started going back to college, so I'm hoping to make nearby friends finally, but as a 27-year-old I don't exactly remember how. I've mostly had the same friends since high school so I don't remember how this is done. Pointers would be cool. Don't say join a club. It's a small college that doesn't have many clubs, and none of them really interest me. The school's anime club was disbanded before I began attending, and no one has started a new one. |

| Depends on your definition of friends. I have a lot but to some people those might be considered just acquaintances. Conversely I also don't regard very many of them as close friends and almost none as best friends, but some other people might consider a lot of them being exactly that. In general I think everyone has friends of some kind. I'm probably wrong though. |
