| Hello MAL! I'm excited to announce that we'll be hosting a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) in /r/anime this Sunday. The thread will open at 4pm PST, and I and staff from the development side will be available to answer your questions from 5pm-6pm. You may be wondering, "but why host on Reddit and not here at MyAnimeList?" We considered it, but we wanted to utilize Reddit's powerful community voting system to promote the most important questions. So please be sure to upvote the comments that are important to you! It's better than nothing, but keep that in mind for the future. Will this AMA include the database administrators (Kineta/Luna/cyruz), or only you and the development team? It will only include responses from myself and the DeNA. I will be in communication with the other db admins/mods whilst the AMA is underway, but we're keeping the official responses between only the two parties mentioned. |

| While I like the idea of an AMA, hosting it on Reddit is a terrible idea. Do you expect the entirety of MAL that doesn't have Reddit accounts to move there for this? How do you know the current community's concerns will be addressed rather than mostly those of non-members? This is more annoying than reassuring. |
