| 10 years ago today I created a very basic excel-like website that did nothing more than display anime titles with a status and scoring. After showing this to other anime-viewing friends, it became clear people might actually want to use it for themselves. Little by little and year after year, and as more people decided they needed an anime list in their life, it grew and changed in to what you see and (hopefully) enjoy today. Social media has played a huge role in the creation and growth of MAL, and it's been a hell of a ride. I'm incredibly happy to be a part of this amazing community and I hope we can continue to improve and be your go-to site for many things anime and manga related. I can't give away any hints, but we've got a few great features planned for the near future and 2015! Here's to another 10 years! |
