I enjoyed it. I loved the OST and the ED especially.
Animation takes some time getting used to but hey, we've got a lot of great shows with weird animation styles recently so I have high hopes for it.

The OST alone makes it worth it. It kind of sounds like my favorite Japanese composure Hiroyuki Sawano.

The episode was ok. I know people are tired of Nobunaga Japan really do see him as Cao Cao. lol.

I wish we got more animes on the Heian period.

Miyano Mamoru, how many times do you wanna play Oda Nobunaga????? XD haha!!

The art was a turn-off for me. It was weird but the story had enough interest to let me stay. I thought they covered a lot for a first episode. He already got so used to his lifestyle..

The strongest point of this series so far is the music. And the animations have its own strange appeal to it.

It kind of feels like stop animation, like puppets, especially since they all look so doll like. I really like the humor and the characters. The pacing was a little off and choppy. Overall I plan to watch more of it.

Yeah, pretty nice for a 1 episode OVA... oh, wait

Seriously, it was rushed way too much.
Too much cliche (apart from fact that this whole idea is a cliche of cliches).

I'm starting to think this might not be the masterpiece I expected. Oh well, might still be enjoyable though: the art is good (outside of character design), and there were some precise historical notations, it will probably be fine on that aspect. Acrobat MC isn't great but could be alright, he had some nice moments with Kichou.

I came to see this as an experiment, what I got was an entertaining thrill ride, simplistic, but hits all the right notes. Saburou may be a shounen-esc MC, but he's a hell of a lot more entertaining than you normal beta MC.

This is my hidden gem of the season. Rotoscoping and fresh art? Count me in.
Visually speaking this was better than everything else this season, I mean the CG might be a little a turn off sometimes but that aside, the art style is REALLY wonderful.

As for the VAs, it seems they invested a very large amount of money for that. There are some big names too.

That was the only thing that bugged me the whole episode but I'll turn my eye closed this time. After all it doesn't want to be much realistic since there are time travels lol.

This felt like a big history lesson and best of all not in a boring way. Lol this guy is was too nonchalant about the whole situation. He mentioned that the text book only glosses over the big events, so I wonder how much of Nobunaga's famed cruelty is done by his own volition.

Pretty interesting. Another teenager+Sengoku/Nobunaga series, but this one is well-executed. I don't mind the art style at all, but they really need to improve the facial expression. It's way too stiff and doesn't quite matches the goofy nature of Nobunaga.

That was surprisingly good though a bit annoying during the first couple of minutes. I didn't like the art at first and then as I watched it just clicked. That was my fastest "will take time to get used to" ever haha. I realized why I suddenly liked it: my brain said he looks like a kabuki actor and this looks like a play. Then Saru made an appearance and I thought "ah now it looks like a Japanese screen painting in motion." Brilliant animation.

Also, I can never get tired of watching a show set int he Sengoku period. I'm such a sucker for it and the Heian period.

The good OST helps to offset the "uniqueness" (shall we call it that) of the animation. It somewhere between regular 2D to a 3D model (a la Knights of Sidonia), giving the show, IMO, a South Park-like movements. Overall nice episode

Have to admit, since I didn't see any PVs I was not expecting the art style, with the whole rotoscoping CGI and all that.
I didn't really mind, though. It was odd at first but I could get used to it.
It was funny, the OST was outstanding and I loved the ED (Which I REALLY hope is the OP, because usually in first episodes they use the OP as the ED)
I like the atmosphere, relaxing show, funny characters.

Well that was different and I actually really enjoyed it.
The backgrounds look absolutely gorgeous!
Beautiful stuff, like that one scene where he was climbing the cherry blossom.
I also liked the animation, the only thing that I did notice were that their heads were too static at times.

It's Miyano as Nobunaga again and he's still a fool. :]
Top notch seiyuu cast here which I didn't expect since I never came back to check who the VA were going to be.

That EROSU and insect repellant.
Looks like this might end up being be the best anime of the season that people barely watched or cared about.

Freakin loved it. It's Nobunaga The Fool meets Steins;Gate meets Kingdom, how could it not be great? Miyano never fails, he pretty much made Saburou's character. Funniest moment was when he handed Tsune the EROSU and said "Tsune-chan, want it?" For some reason the fidgety rotoscoping there really fit in an ironic way and made it hilarious.

Really excited for this one.

Yup, it's not near as big of a turn off, so hopefully it'll suffer less early drops than Kingdom did. I just hope the story will provide half the payoff that Kingdom did in the long run.

I found this anime quite interesting and surprisingly enjoyable.

The art is unique to my taste but I'm sure I can quickly adapt to it.
Wasn't sure if that was the opening or ending song at the end but I really liked it.

The characters look a bit weird but it's still fine.. doesn't bother me that much. The background arts though.. GORGEOUS! Especially the sakura tree..

Pretty much like Oda Nobuna except no tits XD

As long as they don't reveal that the guy has been in coma all this time at the final episode, this would be just fine.

The character design does not, do, the, animation, any, favours.... also does not go well with the 20min length. (Reminds me of Yamishibai)
Other than that, everything else was pretty good.
Hate the MC personality though.
Not looking forwards to watching more of the character design, hopefully the the other aspects will make it more bearable.

My reaction as well :D When I saw the PV, I was like, the art is meh. But it took me only a few minutes to really like it, especially the backgrounds and like you said, it's kind of like a screen painting in motion.

The OST and the ED? OP? was really awesome. The vocalist's voice resembles Taka from ONE OK ROCK, and a quick search on the band showed me that he's Taka's younger brother! No wonder! I'm pretty sure that's the OP but they just put it at the end this episode, but anyways, it's got me hyped up.

Really liking the humor so far, and Saburo is definitely a silly character. You can tell how different he is just because of how easily he adapted to the environment. I also love when he said, "Don't talk to me right now. I'm legitimately reading a textbook for the first time in my life." XD It's a little surprising to see that Saburo actually cares about the history not changing so he must do what he has learned about Japanese history. I'm also looking forward to seeing Nobunaga as well.

Dammit, I thought the manga was rushed, but the adaptation cut out lots of stuff and rushed it even more. :(

Is it 12 episodes or something? Because otherwise I don't get the point of rushing the first episode. I loved seeing it brought to life, but seeing it rushed and skipping out some education and/or important stuff is disappointing. The character 3D is a bit choppy. Scenery is beautiful though.

The MC is funny, ingenious and witty. Love his lines. The OP/ED is also really good. Though I don't see this series having the same investment payoff as Kingdom did, which is a bit of a bummer. Then again, 3D never bothers me much in the first place. o.O

Oh, I love this. Got used to the animation style halfway through and I just really enjoyed it throughout. The OST is by far, the best this season along with Ao Haru Ride and Zankyou no Terror's (and Free!'s). I adore the comedy as well as the drama thrown in.

Quite underrated so far (not as much as Shounen Hollywood). Needs at least a 7+ which it will probably have as long as it keeps up it's quality. This is my new Uta Koi! :)

I just hope Crunchy releases this asap when it's aired in Japan. I'm gonna love Friday nights.

Saburou is the best Nobunaga, more effective and better than the original one.

Not sure how people from the past used to think.. Tsune wanted to kill Nobu because he was acting eccentric, then after a few strong words about conquering the land, he resubmits himself to Nobu again. What!?

That was some good horse tackling though. Saburou is quite adept.

That bug repellent scene was actually funny in a way. Kichou is pretty smart!

Not a bad start, even though the animation is somewhat strange. Ending song was pretty good though.

Was going through a Time-travel phase this summer. Picked up a ton of manga about this genre LOL.

So watching another Sengoku rance time travel anime isn't that bad. :D

I think in a few year's I'd learn more about the Japanese wars of unification than I'd like ROTFL.

It seems cheap CG animation is starting to get traction to anime studios. I'm not complaining really, animating through cel shades is expensive as hell so studios blow their budgets in action scenes.

"Wait, did Nobunaga end up conquering the land?" LOL
