That was a nice romance and the development to it was also cool.

Casca with the confession. Surprised Griffith hasn't romanced Casca. Wonder if it would have played out any differently. Guts got his wish people do care about him and his strength.

Save Griffith? I think it may be a little late for that. I guess the thought of Guts and vengeance has kept him going for this long.

"I live by/through my sword." "I have no idea what to do in my life but waving my weapon around." "But don't ask me to do it for someone else's interest!"
OK...

As obvious as her "true love" was, Casca's need of a man in her brain as motivation is kind of sad. She is really a man after all.

4/5 Nice that some people put back the hero in his place.

What's the point of this giant snake? To sho some pendant-induced mutation?

I’m straight and even I got hard at a shirtless Guts embracing naked Casca. Something straight out of a romance novel. Hhhm-mmm

Casca used to be such a bitch.. I mean she still is, but now she's a lot more likable as a character, especially with her development with Guts throughout the series. This show is so awesome

Fucking fuck I feel so bad for Griffith, he lost absolutely everything, from his companions, to his ambition, left with nothing, left miserable. Since his ambition got shattered, I presume now something will happen, with the "demons," since that creature did mention it many episodes ago.

Woah, the turn of events just after Guts left..

I feel so bad for Griffisu! :( ..why was he tried for treason, is it because they discovered his murder of Queen or is it because of his secret meeting with Princess... what happened, why were they after him and why does the King want to torture Griffis for 3 years?????????????!

The egg-pendant that stopped Zodd from killing Griff is now lost, hmm, hope it rescues Griffisu..

I just rewatched this episode... damn Casca monologue in the love scene is so fucking powerful, maybe it is the most powerful piece of dialogue i have seen in this medium it makes me cry every time I watch it.
Casca whole identity, her whole life was build around beeing Grifith's sword and pursuing his love, she was a no one about to be destroyed before he saved her...
That is why she can't accept her own heart when she realizes her true feelings for Guts because that would be betraying herself, her identity and her pride as a taka no dan member and a woman who is in love with Grifith is ALL she has...
BUT.... "she can change.... and... for the first time, instead of only receiving she may be able to give something back in return..."

I knew Casca would blame him, predictable character. Seems like this show will end with the rescue of Griffith, wonder why they even showed the future Guts in the first episode anyway.

Damn, I can handle torture scenes but a torture scene is a torture scene. Damn

The romance escalated so quick. He finally asked her to go with him eh. Guts has a waifu now.

the way Guts' expresses his love for Casca makes me happy aaaaa. He knows how to steal a girl's heart but their happiness is fleeting and that fact is depressing :(

Well, hot damn. This episode played me like a fiddle.

I thought Casca would've known better than to jump on the Guts Blame Train again, but no, she reverted back to her unlikeable self from the first few episode. But this time Guts is phased by it and gets stabbed.

Then Casca admits that it wasn't fair to blame Guts. And then she promptly attempts suicide. Guts saves her and finally Casca admits she loves Guts. And finally the man gets to unload his nut he's been saving for all those years. No wonder he wants to do it a hundred... No. A thousand more times. He said he'll help the band with rescuing Griffith, but after that he'll leave again. He asked Casca to come with him.

We also saw a bit of Griffith being tortured. That sure looked like a painful and sadistic affair. I hate needles. Apparently, after a year of torture, the torturer finally gets sick of looking at that Behelit and throws it down the drain. What a dumbass, but I guess torturers aren't really the intellectual type.

Oh and I would almost forget that the aforementioned "Great Eclipse" seems to finally have begun as well. The episode ends with the appearance of a huge snake monster and the Behelit floating down the river.

It's nice seeing everyone once again :)

I didn't really like how they removed the choke scene from the manga since it did have meaning for guts's character arc but oh well

Yes, you are an idiot
But hey, this level of quality in storytelling is not for everyone.
"Casca's a bitch, fuck Guts, poor Griffith".... my god... maybe you should downgrade back to DBZ mate because your kinda missing the point in this one...

The sex scene in the manga is like 42 pages long with lots of interaction and build, sharing his story, and in the anime they cut it to like 2 minutes lol...

Guts came back! The moment between him and Casca was very sweet, it’s kinda nice to have an episode not focusing on fighting and intrigue, but on two people who really care for each other.

Dude. Griffith raped his daughter. I think it was his right to torture him.

Also Guts x Casca just became one of my favorite ships thanks to this episode, it was beautiful. (Havent read the Manga btw)

Casca tried to kill Guts after he helped her. What a tragic story!
But now there is love between them (finally).
The love scene was cute, Casca seems to understand what happened and the music is stunning.
I like how independent Guts is at the moment but he still cares for others.
Great episode!

Guts and Casca's relationship is so special because they both may get on each other's nerves sometimes, but they share trust and companionship which shifted their relationship towards love. I'm so happy I made it to this part!
