>Watch an anime where the director (or anyone else important on the staff) has only worked on that one anime I know this is cheating a little bit, but does it still count if the director has worked on other anime as a key animator, but has only been a director for one anime? |

Okay, so I've decided to spice it up a little because I realised I'm almost halfway done, and the rest wouldn't take me that much time to watch. http://myanimelist.net/blog.php?eid=768136 Feel free to join me brave souls. What is a challenge worth if it isn't hard to accomplish? |

What is a challenge worth if it isn't hard to accomplish? I'll probably oblige to those rules, except maybe the length one. Being the filthy casual/fucking pleb that I am, I just don't have time for that, cuz then I'll have to watch 700+ episodes of Detective Conan and 600+ episodes of One Piece, etc. Also, I think adding a challenge like "anime airing this year do not count" might not be a bad idea, since I bet many people are probably gonna knock out a few just by watching their 15+ shows per season with no real effort. For example, Aldnoah.Zero second season wouldn't count for the space opera challenge (which is a silly example because you could just watch the first season anyways if you haven't watched it already, but it gets the point across). |

I'm surprised Totoro has no slice-of-life tag, I'd definitely say it belongs in that category. And the characters in Uchouten Kazoku are definitely humanoid since they can take human shape and do it all the time. Also the Flanders no Inu Movie is not really part of the WMT Series, only TV Series are as far as I know. Just my 2 cents though :>. |

What's not to get about the filmography one? It just means watching all the works they directed. And I'm pretty sure there are tons of Shaft shows less popular/well-known than Dance in the Vampire Bund even if you don't count the early 00's collaborations with Gainax and other studios. I would guess that it means only stuff he directed, since if they're your favourite director, than it must mean that you like their directing, not necessarily other minor things they've done. |

So far the "categories" I've thought, and think that other people might be interested in are Voice actor related challenge Lengthy anime related challenge rewatch challenge popular anime related challenge top 100 related challenge bottom 100 related challenge And I think it would be interesting to have a challenge like this: Form pairs with the users that are participating in the challenge and watch the anime that your partner recommends. Or have one person reccomend an anime to another, and then that person to another etc, like a circle What do you think guys? |

I challenged myself to complete the top and bottom 100 long ago so I do that anyway :>. Though if DxD makes it in the top 100 I may never be able to finish it :(. |
I probably regret this post by now. |

I don't think of them as much as a challenges "Popular anime" are, if we were to take MAL for example, already seen by most people. For being popular. I mean, out of the top 50 most popular on MAL, only 6 that i haven't seen. And that's because they don't appeal me, nor do I find them that good. And I wouldn't like to force myself into watching them. Not to mention I dropped a good amount of them, and I don't feel like pick them up again. Since I didn't just drop them for the lulz. As for the top 100 I don't see as a challenge. I mean the top 100 excluding Shigatsu are mostly above average, making them easy to watch. Which isn't really a challenge. The bottom 100.. maybe. But they're mostly awful shorts or 1-3 episodes. |

Last time I checked I had almost completed the top 100, though I definitely won't pick up Shigatsu again :/. If you take the bottom 100 list I'm using it excludes all the shorts and music videos. It's still mostly OVAs and movies, but trust me sitting through some of them is a challenge on its own, nevermind all 100 of them. And the challenge is probably more about finding the time and motivation to watch all of them, not in the sense that it's super hard to find them or sit through them. |

I don't mean the whole top and bottom 100 more like watch a show that you haven't watched within the top/bottom 100 Also when I say popular anime, I mean more like 500 top not 50 |
