According to the tweet of Irie Yasuhiro, he is currently working on the storyboard of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood based on Arakawa Hiromu's manuscripts of the manga up to the final chapter. He was overwhelmed by the thick storyline of the finale. He said "Laugh or cry, two months left." The voice and sound dubbing of episode 58 and the film editing of episode 61 have done so far.

Well, that was pretty much a given. Too bad the shows ending, but at least it's not turning into another bleach or one piece.

Does this mean that the anime and manga will end at about the same time? It seems only right to have the manga end first.

Maybe Arakawa Hiromu already finished @ still in process of final chapter of manga. I really hope the ending of the anime is the same as manga. After all, every story needs to be end.

No, Dont end. This one was awesome. FMA Forever!!

I know, right? I <3 FMA so much that I don't want it end :[
(I keep thinking they should make a Live-Action but I don't know how it would turn out if they did...but it could happen)
But...they say "All good things must come to an end"

It's like FMA was part of my life ever since I found out about it when I was in 4th-5th Grade.
When it ends, its like a part of my life has died

FMA forever!

For Brotherhood, Ep.1-14 is a recap from the 1st Anime and Ep.15+ is where it
follows the Manga

Yeah, you could say recap, but it's newly animated, and not everything is the same. Like the introduction of Truth, or the case with Nina.

Expected info . . . But , cramming up huge chapters into 3 episodes is actually a suicidal effort . Lets see how it shapes up . . .

Maybe they'll make them extended episodes?

In any case, fare thee well FMA:B. I look forward to the end (both manga and anime)

More importantly, why would anyone want this to be as long as the shounen 3? Arakawa has a planned story and is ready to end it.

Pretty much saw it coming, considering how close to the 'truth' of things they're getting at. FMA will always be a masterpiece amongst masterpieces, that's for sure. It'll never die.

I love anime that have an ending... But I loved this series so much that it's a bit sad to be ending

I probably will pick this up in Summer then, I've been planning to watch FMA for a while, but I just wanted to make sure that Brotherhood will end in the same way as the manga. Now I just need to find some spare time...

wait, wait, wait, so basically this means that the anime's going to have the same ending as the manga for sure, right? 'cause if they don't I'm SO reading the manga. we all know Hiromu Arakawa's story is the best way to go....

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, too
It would be awesome if they made a Live-Action (Would love to see that :])
Everytime I think of an FMA Live-Action, I sort of make my own "Trailer" in my head

but I don't know how it would turn out...it could happen
My sister and I sort of had a debate on it.

that could also end in disaster. it always depends on the director, and FMA deserves nothing but the best.
I think it would be great if they didn't speed up the end, but sort of, take their time with it. and if it extends from what the 63 eps planned, then just put the remaining in as a movie or something.

This.

I'm happy that there's finally confirmation that there would be no non-canon ending.

Now that's one crossed off the list of titles finally getting the proper adaptation......

Well, I'm relieved the anime will end like the manga, but a bit worried about the manga ending in just 2 chapters!! then again, the last couple of chapters were double in size, so maybe it will work out. I bet it will be epic.. can't wait *__*

Obvious announcement is obvious but I'm glad it's confirmed.

Shows pretty awesome but if when it ends and they don't get their bodies back I will give this show a 2.
