if there's no Lelouch what's the point? he makes the series. if it's some side story with none of the same characters why call it Code Geass? sounds like a lame spin off..... bah. give us what we want!

Lelouch fag sighted, he's no CG fan, oh and in case you forgot
it's Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion & Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2, its no Lelouch of the Rebellion's Code Geass so they can use the name Code Geass whenever they want, its a franchise name, like MS Gundam

oh and i would like this if it has realistic military scenarios rather than fed up w/ a majority of plot twits utterly unneeded, and no Lelouch makes it a lot better
Simplistic beauty can't be appreciated by someone who looks for something grand in everything he watch.

I totally loved Code Geass and even re-watched the second season as I found it even better than the first (which happens actually very rarely) but I thought that Code Geass had an absolute end and there was actually no need for a sequel :)

I'd watch like always. ;D But seriously, a C.C. and Lelouch cameo would be awesome.

Its a spin off right????

Well they did kill the main character off at the end of R2, so yeah, I'd say it's most certainly a spin-off :/

There's never been any talk of animating Nightmare of Nunnally or Suzaku of the Counterattack as far as I know, so if this isn't Boukoku no Akito, I will be surprised.

Am I the only one who's kinda depressed at the fact that there's probably gonna be no STORM OF LOYALTY or ninja meidos?

Uh, all I see is a figurine releasing in the winter based on that article. This is a troll topic isn't it?

Entertainment for entertainment's sake. I am ready to accept any future projects related to Geass. Say what you will about it's plot, or screw ups: I had more fun watching Geass than anything I've seen in awhile (excluding FMA Brotherhood). That's all that counts for me.

All I see is that they are talking about the new series of their figurines in Winter. And do you really think that some random toy company would break this news over all other kinds of sources?

As long it's not a sequel that's about Lelouch being alive and all, I'm in for this this series.

I doubt it, it looks like they're talking about "Code Geass" and "series". I don't see why they would have specified "anime", but if it were a "series of toys" I don't see why they didn't specify figurines instead of just "new series of Code Geass".

The japanese text does infer a new series of Code Geass guys. All the people who don't know japanese but think they know what it's on about should probably shut up lol.

It says "code geass no shin series" in the last line of the figure's description which even someone with one lesson in basic japanese will tell you means "New series of Code Geass"

Specifically it says 今冬よりコードギアスの新シリーズも予定されており ((Kontou yori Code Geass no shin series mo yotei sarete ori)
Which loosely means "A new series of Code Geass has been planned for this winter"

I'm pretty sure they're referring to Bokuoku no Akito anyway.

If you say so. I'm really hoping it is this winter (though Spring would make more sense since those have a better chance of being two cour) but I don't want to get my hopes up. Especially when that line can be taken in multiple ways, especially since figurines are normally based of "Series" while Sunrise earlier announced it would be a new "Season".

MONEY, MONEY, MONEY, MONEYYYY!!!!

First thought that went into Sunrise....other than that, this is a huge shame to a great series.

I guess Code Geass will be the next Gundam, we'll be seeing all kinds of new spinoffs every other year or so.

FUCK, I HATE SUNRISE!

I think if there's one constant in the Code Geass world, it'll be ridiculous things happening. Even if those don't appear, something equally crazy will.

But there will be no Mao trying to make things compact! No Anya (which alone is a huge loss)! No stupid events organized by Milly which involve hats shaped like asses!
They better pull off something really ridiculous and really awesome.

Regarding this news, I'm just going to assume it's Akito. Although I would have expected it to start later, assuming Sunrise would go 2cour AGE > 2 cour Geass > 2cour AGE then maybe another two of Geass for all we know.

Yeah, I'm kinda surprised that this will be on at the same time Gundam AGE airs. Gundam and CG are basically Sunrise's most successful franchises, and running them at the same time... it just doesn't seem like a good idea. There's also that Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon thing; if it's a two-cour anime (like most Sunrise anime are, really), they'll have three mecha projects active at once AND Gintama :/

Code Geass R2 wrapped up everything quite nicely, and I can't help but feel this new series is nothing but a desperate attempt to revive a popular franchise for little more than its appeal amongst fans.

I really hope I'm wrong, but I don't like where this is going.
