Aldnoah.Zero Part 2

The war between the Terrans and the Vers Empire of Mars has ended, allowing humanity to blissfully enjoy their lives in a time of peace. Nineteen months later, however, the Vers princess makes a shocking public declaration: "the Terrans are a foolish race that covets resources, destroys nature, and are devoted to the pursuit of pleasure." And so, to protect their precious Earth, she calls upon her knights to take up arms, and the raging battle between the two civilizations reignites.

Slaine Troyard has found a place among the Martians, giving Earth a short respite from the war against the Vers Empire. However, a peaceful resolution seems inconceivable. The various people who fought desperately for survival in the past now find themselves in the midst of yet another bloody and chaotic conflict, one that will forever alter the fate of humankind.

First of all. Anime is bad, BUT, I love it.
I do recommend it... I like Slaine... He is the best character in the entire anime. Why? He is basically the most interesting character and has character development. Also Counts Saazbaum and Cruhteo, and also false princess.
Yes, he does mistakes (Slaine), he is child basically. But he did more in his short political life then everyone else. And I do not wanna talk about Inaho, he is literally chatGPT and this is a good name for him.
Basically authors had a great concept and they would make something really good... But, not in this ... timeline. And it is what it is. I am disappointed and it is like that. But it really could be like Leluch revolution or some kind of Gundam. Well...
Still, all show get 5/10. First s. - 2/10. Second s. - 8/10.
Anyway thank you for anime and memories.

Mixed Feelings

6/10 ~ So close to greatness

This is a review for both season 1 and 2: This Gundam knock-off clone of a show was actually decent and sits up there amongst some of itis peers as a not horrible standalone. If you watch it in English Dub you will immediately recognize many of the charecters from Iron Blood orphans, SEED, and Build, such as Kira Yamato (also as the MC in this), Uno Takaki (IBO), Flay (Seed), Lafter (IBO), Echo (IBO, Naze and many many more. The plot and how the store was originally started was a bit interesting but at the end of the day ... was a bit of an underdog story (that didn't last too long that way). The powers of the boss monsters was interesting, the music was alight. The show atleast in the begining wasn't afraid to kill off characters, show trauma and have built up reasons/ motives of why each character is doing what and why. Past this it felt like ALOT of CTRL-V for Gundam tropes.

My largest grip with the show is the pacing, the first few episodes of season 1 and two were perfect pacing, then it would slow down from ep 3-10ish, then the last 1-2 episodes of both seasons were a blitz to the end with very very questionable endings to both seasons. To the point where the first 2-3 episodes of season 2 didn't make any sense until they revealed several "plot twists" that honestly just felt like bad/sloppy writing because they didn't think they would get this far.

I really don't like the heavily 3D animation style unless its for very specifically to contrast 2 things (Example would be IRL is 2D, and cyber space is 3D) or when its exclusively for Machines and mechs to stand out from the organic. When either of these artistic choices are done 3D is not only a good choice but sometimes the objective best choice. So here it is a plus!

Nearly everything I said in the beginning of this review is completely town out at some point, The Boss's powers start to kinda get lame, it quickly became a power fantasy and not an underdog story, they refuse to really kill anyone in season 2 until nothing matters, The music fades to the background, the trauma is left behind, motives make nearly no sense in season 2. Its really all just a mess. and the ending of the show... my god, the loose ends and plot holes are enormous its kinda hilarious. AND THE NTR, can we talk about the NTR? my god that made me mad lmfao

Its hard to articulate why I enjoyed it despite it having so many problems when I look back, I think the poor writing made it for me never knowing how any plot point was going to resolve. A strange place to be honestly. I would rank this as a 6/10, right beside Gundam SEED Destiny. So take that as you will. This was not awful, but I wouldn't not recommend this unless you LOVE mecha as a sub-genre. Other wise its a easy pass for me.

The part 2 of Aldnoah.Zero really did a great job in being worse than the 1st part.

It doesn't make any sense. The anime lacks in every possible aspect.

The characters still undeveloped, we have the same problem of the 1st part in the 2nd. Looks like they didn't even bother to make this more "watchable".

The story maitain the same quality of being appalling. Nothing make sense in this anime, the dialogues between characters, the explanations, the motivation, everything it's terrible.

The animation it's really the only point of this anime worth something, it's pretty solid, a decent animation. But as I said in the 1st ... part, the animation can't save a horrible work. It's not worth your time, don't watch it.
