They Are My Noble Masters is a Harem, Ecchi, Romance, Comedy that pays more attention to its extremely ecchi fanservice rather than the actual romance or comedy.
The series is about a brother and sister (Ren and Mihato) who ran away from home in order to start a new life together and after a turn of events, they end up working for a famous, rich Kuonji family consisting of 3 sisters (Shinra, Miyu and Yume). Surprisingly this anime has an underlining story to it but for the most part it is full of random mini stories/adventures that have little relation with each other. Each episode spends it’s time either focusing on a specific character or theme, usually involving Ren getting to know one of the girls, so the series never gets entirely boring and it becomes slightly dramatic later on.
There are plenty of characters in this short series and each with their own unique personality. Nevertheless only a few of them seem to get plenty of attention, while the rest barely get any screen time. But at least they all get their own moment to shine.
I must say that the quality of the animation is somewhat good with a lustrous colour palette, for the nicely drawn backgrounds and characters. But most of the effort seems to go towards the fanservice, which is a good thing I suppose. The music can only be described as very upbeat and even though it’s good, there’s nothing special about it.
Overall They Are My Noble Masters proved to be a very enjoyable ecchi, comedy with quite a few parodies for the hardcore anime fan to enjoy. There’s plenty of tasteful fanservice and adult humour for any guy to enjoy as well but sometimes it does feel a bit excessive. At least this anime has creative ways of censoring nudity XD. In the end this series did prove to be somewhat dull compared to its superior counterpart (Hayate no Gotoku) but if you just feel like watching something entertaining and extremely ecchi then be sure to check this out.

Comedy. Ecchi. Harem. Romance. These four words, along with the term 'adult game adaption' have attracted numerous anime watchers that expected a good show, but got betrayed in return. After their hopes have been scattered it is up to a good series to restore the lost faith; and They Are My Noble Masters, or KimiAru for short, does a great job at that.
The story, for a harem series, is pretty good. The male lead and his sister have run away from their violent and abusive father at home and, after helping out a member of the Kuonji family, get hired as servants. Although the story isn't really that visible until the last two episodes and some flashbacks in between, I am impressed that the producers brought it back and wrote out a nice resolve.
Too often I find myself to realize that the 'ending' is about the main guy seeing his favorite girl leave or being taken away after which he runs after her while screaming and wins her back with not too much effort. But KimiAru is a different story (pun intended), so you can count on a decent ending.
The characters have more to them than just their bust size or usual shared childhood past with the male lead. Each one has a noticeable different personality and background which is also shown in the anime and they are all fun to watch as well. Except the broom guy which was effectively tossed aside I haven't really found any disturbances. I'd also like to add that after giving all of them some romance development they don't vanish into the background; throughout the episode you'll often come across them and actually remember what they are like. That is also the kind of romance development that fits this series; not just one girl that is set in stone as the male lead's future wife after 2 episodes but some romance development for all girls. And with their characters, they indeed do deserve some love.
The male lead is also one of the strongpoints of KimiAru; no spineless wimp that bangs everything that has an ass and moves but actually someone that is kinda cool as he does what he has to and knows when he has to: be it cheering someone up, helping him/her out with something or protecting them when he has to. It isn't just the male lead; all characters in KimiAru are fun to watch with their different personalities and treats. To the point of where you start thinking that it is a waste they only can shine throughout 13 episodes.
The art, aside from episode 1 where all bystanders are just generic orange painted figures, is likeable. It is sweet with nice coloring and really matches the overall 'feel' of the series if you know what I mean. The sound wasn't really anything special, but at least you don't finish this series with a serious headache or negative feeling from it. It is what it is, which is enough.
Overall KimiAru is an enjoyable series that should have no problem raising your mood after watching many fail harem series. A good story, likeable characters, your daily dose of ecchi and a matching art stand at the foundation for a nice ride. The journey to a good harem series was tedious and long, but you have made it and rewarded now at least. Don't let your mood drop again and proceed to the shows as listed in the recommendations section. Watched them all? Dig up another anime on your 'want to watch list' and wait for the upcoming series in fall 2009; some of them have alot of potential so it'll be worth your time.
Until the next time! read more

Both main characters of these series are working as butlers, and somehow they were in need of something (either work or money). Ren is a bit similar to Hayate as well (personality). At least the first episode it reminded me a lot to Hayate no Gotoku!, just older people instead of kids.
In both main characters are butlers.
Both of animes have similar type of humour.
One point that made these two similar, Butler. Only Kimi ga Aru more mature, and a have lot of ecchi more than Hayate. The genre too almost identical, comedy.
Both about Butlers and their masters, both reference other anime, and both are very funny. Hayate the Combat Butler is more child-friendly than KimiAru though.
They both have a similar style of hummor
Both have as there main characters that are newly hired butlers and they both got the job by helping there female master with out knowing who they where
Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de it basily Hayate the Combat Butler but Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de is more... how to said they this... is aimed at a more mature age and it doesnt have the annoying brat
Butler-mistress relationship, anime tributes, ecchi moments, and parts that will make you laugh quite much. It should be noted that KimiAru has more comedy that comes from ecchi, while Hayate is mostly based on anime tributes. Also, Hayate is more age-friendly and has a far more powerful seiyuu cast.
Both about overpowered butlers, both have alot of referencing to other animes and Japanese culture, both have quite a bit of fanservice (not so much in hayate the combat butler) and alot of the characters are very similar, both very funny.
Both are similar because of the Master and Servant role it plays and also the comedy and parody it holds. The only thing different is... THE ART AND THE NUMBER OF MASTERS THEY ARE MY NOBLE MASTERS HAS! xD
Ren and Hayate are butlers who have problems with money.
Both guys have some kind of romantic relationship with their masters

One has a Brother and Sister and the other has Two Sisters, but they're both running away from their parents. At first the viewer is not shown why they left. But they both end up being maids/butlers for pompous rich folk.
...Hilarity ensues.
Ecchi everywhere, comedy, maid-butler and those kind of relationships, what more do you want?
Both Anime has the maid and master theme. In both anime the main characters ran away from home. The main characters in both anime become maids to rich masters. He is my master is a bit more of a comedy aproach to the maid anime genre than Kimi ga aruji de shitsuji ga ore de. Both anime are good but I prefer kimi above he is my master.
