These are not great shows that happen to have sci-fi elements, these are specifically things that exceed at being good sci-fi thingies. They might suck at every other area for all you know!!!
On a small side note, subscribe to APolygons2 on youtube, he seems like a pretty cool guy that I do not know at all!
And also also, Watch Pantheon. It's a western animation, but it's a sci-fi must watch that I think you will love if you're someone who would be interested in this stack.
