I think I heard the anime fully adapted the manga, but who knows?
It's hard to pick one arc from Hajime no Ippo, my favorites are Kamogawa's flashback, Volg Zangief vs Mike Elliot, and Ippo's retirement fight, if I had to pick only one I think the best arc overall was Takamura vs Hawk, it had the best build up and is very intense the first time you see it.
I don't think I'll read Blue Lock, the anime seems enough for me.
The money system was a creative idea but I couldn't see what was the purpose of it, maybe I'll need to rewatch this season someday.
I don't think Hajime no Ippo anime will ever get a sequel, maybe a movie if we're lucky, but it'll never get a continuation for the whole story, I've given up on that long ago.
I don't mind the ending, but personally I didn't want Faputa to join the party, she's too powerful and I don't like her that much.
150 years is a very long time, humans can build an entire country in less time, and yet the village in Made in Abyss was pretty small, and the civilization you're talking about wasn't that advanced, there weren't that many of them to begin with, Faputa even ate all of them.
I know why Vueko is still human, I was asking why she managed to live for 150 years despite being human.
The current arc of Hajime no Ippo is about Ricardo (the world champion) and we're all hoping whatever happens next is going to be the reason Ippo returns, but unfortunately with this pacing it'll take at least another three or four years. I actually believe that Ippo's return will be the final arc.
Personally I liked season 1 more. 150 years is a small period of time? The weirdest part about it is that Vueko didn't turn, she was still human, so how did she live all those years?
Hajime no Ippo is great, it's slow as hell and the recent chapters have gotten very short (10 pages per chapter), but it's definitely worth reading.
Not based on something he did, I just think he's a great antagonist, the way his personality contradicts his actions is kinda disturbing in a good way, he's just unique.
Honestly I have a few issues with season 2, but yeah it's still great, too bad there's not enough manga material for a third season, we'll have to wait at least a couple of years :(
Yeah I knew Chainsaw Man was gonna be a good anime, because it's full of cool and crazy action, but it doesn't have much else.
Well it kinda sucks, the coughing and nose-bleeding, also I lost my sense of smell and taste, but I had covid before, hopefully it goes away in a week or so.
I haven't read the manga, I don't think it's different than the anime though.
Season 2 was kinda weird at first, but yeah it's good.
True, One Piece anime has terrible pacing unfortunately, but I'm used to it, the anime is still engaging enough that I never get bored, I heard the manga is way better but most manga readers also watch the anime anyway.
Yeah I love that Monster cares about all the characters, there are even times when Tenma is absent for many episodes even though he's the main character.
Eh, the reason I'm not too thrilled about Chainsaw Man is because I read the manga before and couldn't finish it, it's good but not that good, the anime seems to be doing great though so I'll watch it.
Just found out I have covid so I'll have to stay home for a week, guess it's an excuse to watch anime lol.
Ah I get it, I do have many shows that I like but don't think they're critically good, doesn't matter though as long as you enjoy it.
Yeah Made in Abyss is great, Bondrewd is one of my favorite antagonists of all time.
If you mean Purshka then I agree, honestly I couldn't care less about her death, she wasn't built up properly.
Oh you're caught up to One Piece! I'm waiting for Wano arc to end so I can watch it.
Monster is pretty complex but don't overthink it, you'll understand what's happening as you're watching.
Yeah Chainsaw Man's OP is catchy, the anime is good too.
I totally forgot about Fumetsu XD
Hi :D how're you man?
Good for you, I hope you enjoyed what you watched/read.
Oh man, is season 2 of CotE bad or something?
I'm watching many shows from this season, the ones I'm enjoying so far are Mob Psycho, Bocchi the Rock, Blue Lock, and I guess Chainsaw Man, I also love the Detective Conan spin-off.
I was very busy these last few days though, barely watched anything.
What about you?
Yeah this is why I think Fumetsu should've ended early, the more it goes on the more predictable it gets, and there are no characters left to pull you into it, the writer expects us to care too much about the protagonist, but he's kinda boring.
I love everything about Monster from the story to the characters, if you really need some hint, they'll introduce the main antagonist around episode 4 if I remember correctly, things will get very interesting from there.
EDIT: I didn't notice you asking me about Ousama Ranking, well, I watched about 8 episodes, it was very interesting but at that point still not clear where it was going, so I couldn't even rate it.
I put it on-hold back when it was still airing, maybe I'll get back to it soon.
That's not an excuse, it's not hard to set-up a believable reason for Gabi to meet Sasha's family, and the pacing was already too slow at that point it was not fast and easy to watch at all, sorry but bad writing is bad writing.
Yeah I feel like the reason Chainsaw Man's manga is not that good is because all of the characters are psychopaths and hard to care about, it doesn't have the depth and intrigue that makes it great, but the animation will make it worth watching.
Well, maybe you had different expectations from Fumetsu but it's always a good thing to develop the characters.
Personally I didn't like it at first because Fushi was too over-powered, but when they introduced those monsters that steal his shapes the show became pretty good, also the focus on side characters made it more interesting, the masked kid's arc was great, but after that the show started to feel tedious.
I'll tell you about Monster after you finish it, it's better that you go into it blindly.
