Anime in theory should be superior to the manga by far and what happened? It's not even close so what's the point? It's just a commercial for people to buy manga and merchandise. Imo not even one person who worked on the anime has the passion for the anime as Ishida has for the series.
Tbh It was OK (for pierrot standards) but for me it sucked. Because it's my favorite manga I have high expectations for its adaptations (that's never gonna happen anyway) 1st of all it's rushed asf Tokyo Ghoul is not only a manga where one side fights the other, characters are veery important and Ishida does it great in his work (well except mutsuki and aura lul) Of course in the anime the cut out a lot of dialog's the whole episode was rushed (Anime only's are prolly confused and asking themselves wtf is this) I re-read the 1st volume and I can easily say that the manga panels were superior by a mile from the anime. We got a mini fight and Im afraid about the future fights, just the transformation was good when they were fighting alot of "punches" lacked (force?) Take for example one punch man every punch had visually shown us how strong the impact is etc here it was like yeah bum whatever it wasn't bad but not great either. I don't know what to think about sasakis voice but I like the q's voice. Music is nice ost's op and ed's BUT im VERY VERY disappointed in the visuals. The OP was as generic as it can get just show 10 thousand pictures of some backgrounds and 1 million characters EVEN THOSE WHO WON'T DO ANYTHING IN THIS SEASON (furuta was shown like a mian villain yet he won't do shit this season wtf, scarecrow and amon) and the ED is fkin visually disgusting comparing to the rest. It's like the had no idea what to do and they made it in an hour just slapped some images of q squad. Maybe some people will like it but im soo much used to Ishida's style in the manga that I just can't really take it serious in the anime.
