I wanted to give me opinion about your Spy x Family review.
While I do understand where you are coming from, I feel as though you are expecting a little bit much. An anime made with jokes and fun characters isn't really there for the seriousness of the plot. Although I can kind of see where you're coming from on that point, the next is what made me come here.
No one should take life advice from anime. It's like taking dating advice from TikTok. This anime isn't telling anyone that they should build bonds on lies, it's telling it as it is: Tell the truth and you're dead/ seen as an outcast/ weirdo.
If Yor wasn't who she is, and was just a normal housewife, just imagine what would happen when twilight would be like "Oh, and btw, i'm a spy and kill people for a living. Not to mention that the secret police is after me teehee."
See what I'm getting at?
I also want to say that I do not mean to somehow make you feel bad or weird about your opinion. It's what you think and that is indeed fine. I just wanted to share my point of view on your statements.
Thank you for reading this and have a nice day/ evening/ night!
Sorry, to me your review looked more like you were expecting too much in terms of content. Unfortunately, it's inevitable that comedies like Spy x Family or Love is War simply thrive on humor and character interactions. Story, development and everything else is usually never present.
Basically, you're right in what you say, but I wouldn't conditionally credit this as a negative.
The reason why Spy X Family is so popular is simple. Its a comedy driven show and its doing a really decent job here, its probably one of the better Comedy Anime/Manga you can find. And since "Comedy" is the main aspect of this show.. what else to say?
You dont look for development or plot, if you watch something with explosions or jokes.

Seems we have a few things in common.
I am looking forward to talking to you about some shows! If you are okay with that.
