Hi, welcome to my profile.
My first serious step into the world of anime and manga was as a lost postgraduate student. I had started my postgraduate after failing to find a job with my undergraduate degree. Somehow I turned to anime to search for answers.
That is how I started watching Shakugan no Shana [Burning-eyed Shana] - out of curiosity about how Yuuji would choose to live his life after learning the truth of his existence. That motivation was quickly replaced by Shana herself and wanting to see how her story played out, and the anime series became the first one I watched from start to finish.
My current main preferences would probably be:
1. Characters figuring out their life, e.g. Gin no Saji [Silver Spoon]
2. Adult main characters living their daily life, e.g. Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi [My Senpai is Annoying]
3. A group of misfits helping each other to see the world in a better light, e.g. Angel Beats!, Kagami no Kojou [Lonely Castle in the Mirror]
4. Iyashikei [healing slice of life], e.g. Flying Witch
