Hey, thanks for asking. I won't say that Tamayura has no drama at all. At its core, it's the story of a girl overcoming grief and learning to reconnect to her past and look the world again. It's also a coming-of-age story with a heavy focus on each of its main characters figuring out their career paths and where their futures will lead them, while also fearing that unknown ahead of them and the relationships they'll have to leave behind. It can be a sad show at times (certainly made me cry on more than a few occasions), and its overall atmosphere is very melancholic. But it would also be inaccurate to say that it's dramatic in the way that a show like Clannad is. Tamayura has zero melodrama, it's soothing and comforting for the most part. The show is a spiritual successor to Aria, so if you've seen that show, you generally know what to expect. I'd say it's closer to something like Yuru Camp mixed with Tamako Market, but more sad than those shows. It's a very low-key and melancholy kind of sadness with the intent to be cathartic and comforting, rather than the bombastic "you're supposed to cry at this" approach that Clannad takes. If you want something similar to Clannad, Tamayura is probably not what you're looking for, and I would instead recommend looking towards shows like Your Lie in April, Anohana, Plastic Memories, or Little Busters. But Tamayura is supremely underrated and I would highly recommend watching it whenever you feel like seeing something uplifting and comforting. It's the perfect show to watch when you're a little downtrodden and want something to keep a bit of that mood while making you feel better as well.

I did hear. I am not caught up on the manga unfortunately.

Yes i have, you should definitely read them. Best experience is to just read from the very beginning, but if youre short on time/money, ig the bare minimum would be reading from arc 4 onwards (S2 of the anime content). RZ S2 was a passable adaptation at best, so i suggest starting from there. The Greed and Gluttony attack on Rem in s2 ep 1 happens at the end of volume 9, but i think u can just directly start from volume 10.

Yeah, always nice seeing people that I have similiar taste with... sometimes you can find a great new series through their favorites

Thanks.

Yea the first season of Little Busters was pretty terrible and feels stretched through 2 cours, but it does establish things and gets you acquainted to the characters. Refrain season was where the real deal was at.

we have very very similar views and tastes xD a 60% affinity rate is very very good so I am not surprised we both have Vivy a 10, but I am also glad you did and added it to your favourites because I 100% agree that it is amazing and had a great and satisfying ending to the amazing series that was Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s song :)

Np and thanks for accepting. Glad that u liked those 4 shows especially Sakurasou which is so underrated.

I think everyone who watched Re:CREATORS can agree that the concept and premise was interesting and original. The execution is a different matter altogether. The characters can come off as generic and bland, but they kinda have to because theyre each representing a different kind of fantasy trope. For example, theres a generic mech pilot, a generic magical girl, a saber rip off, a jojo reference, and more. But while each of them are generic because they have to represent a trope/cliche in fiction, it becomes very entertaining to watch because i get to see all of these representations of cliches fight each other. It kinda answers "Could Saber from fate possibly win Simon from Gurren Lagann?" which can only be seen cuz of its premise. Idk if im making any sense at all lol. Aside from the generic characters, there are 2 characters in particular that have very interesting powers, which i'll leave it for u to find out. The animation is pretty good, it isnt Ufotable/KyoAni/Wit level animation but it comes close. And theres the Hiroyuki Sawano soundtrack which always makes me eargasm. The plot was quite understandable and easy enough to follow, there was what people call an asspull at the end, but i overlooked it probably cause i was so invested into the episode. Most of the criticisms above are mainly reasons why ppl may not enjoy Re:CREATORS but i personally overlooked most of them such as the generic characters and the plot twist at the end. I found Re:CREATORS to be a really fun and enjoyable ride that was carried by mainly the fight scenes which were absolutely lit and the Sawano sountrack. You should definitely check it out.

yeah it was absolutely brilliant and now Fate is one of the several anime I have given a 10 before. I loved Rin’s character more, although I still liked Sakura’s character as well and enjoyed watching her route in HF more. I thought Shirou was also a much much better and realistic character in Heavens Feel and really enjoyed watching him and his humanistic decision making in Heavens Feel. Also, I see you watched Vinland Saga. It’s definitely a much more mature anime, how did you end up finding it? I really enjoyed it and rated it the same as you I think ^^

thanks for the recommendations ^^ i’m writing this while at the gym so sorry if it seems like i’m rushing but i’ll make sure to check them out when I get home. Also, I am really enjoying manga/light novels atm, I think I am having my manga awakening xD I love checking out manga that hasn’t got an anime adaptation yet, and trying to see what new and interesting stuff there is, honestly it’s like a gold mine out here so many under rated and under appreciated. I also see you still only have me and Fukina as a friend added and I feel special to have you added me ^^ I am enjoying the re zero light novel but haven’t picked it back up in a while as I have been exploring different things. Recently I have caught up to the manga called ‘my best friends little sister has it in only for me’ which is your typical high school romcom manga but honestly I love it as I can’t get enough of that type of anime and now i’m sad I caught up as it’s only 1 chapter a month and the translations take forever, but i would recommend it if you like that sort of anime too, it has some great characters in my opinion although a few are common anime character tropes it was still very enjoyable to me anyways, I think I saw it in your planned to watch (it is also getting an anime adaption too which I am excited for) and so far I am finding the whole magic system very confusing in the assassin manga but so far although it is quite mediocre which I would agree on, again I am still enjoying it anyways. I really think I have the definition of ‘trash taste’ because I can eat this anime up all day. Surprising I found it out through the anime man on youtube interviewing the creator of redo of healer who also wrote the assassin manga and I found redo of healer entertaining so I have decided to try his other manga out he was promoting in the video and yeah I am going to try and catch up. Oh yeah I forgot to mention I loved Jobless Reincarnation so I will probably try the ln soon, thanks

Hello do u like Fortnite ?
maxwell0710 May 22, 2021 2:30 AM
yeah I am really enjoying the fate series atm. I typically enjoy romance/drama anime but Fate really grabs my attention unlike other most other action anime out there. I am really looking forward to completing UBW and HF ^^

Ok thank you, I read the synopsis and it sounds cool. I’ll get back to you when I have free time and get round to watching it. Also, Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai has been in my ptw for while and I was literally going to watch it as my next anime so that so funny how you recommend it to me now xD. Thanks for the recommendations

yes, after bakemonogatari it is the 3 movies and then it is nisemonogatari. If you search up monogatari watch order’ up on google images it comes with up with an image that is very good at explaining the best way to watch the monogatari series.
I know I enjoyed Bakemonogatari, but when I started and then finished the 3 films, boy oh boy was I hooked. That was when I really started to get invested in the anime and realise it was going to be even better than I had initially thought. So yes, make sure to watch the 3 films next, as not only is it next in watch order after Bakemonogatari, they are 3 of the best anime movies I have seen and explain some questions you may have. They writing, animation and art are all out of this world and honestly I debating on weather or not to rewatch all of monogatari in the near future because I want to appreciate the amazing thing that is the monogatari series. Your friend has great taste xD I feel like Monogatari definitely is not for everyone. as you can probably tell it is very unique and not your typical battle shounen anime but focuses more on dialogue and super natural themes that many may find uninteresting, but if you do find them sorts of shows interesting I promise when you have finished it all you will really appreciate how good it is and remember it as an amazing show ^^.
