FINAL FANTASY VII - I don't really have to sing the praises of this one, I don't think. This was the first real JRPG I ever played as a kid and I fell in love with it. The combat system, the world, the story, the characters, it's all just perfect. Don't even get me started on the music.
CORPSE PARTY - Well, here's a game that isn't on anyone's favorites list but mine. I love this style of a game and I'm also big into the horror genre of media, so I was SUPER into this game when I first played it when I was like, ten. It also contains my first ever yuri ship, so it has a special place in my heart for that.
PERSONA 3 - Along with another game on this list, Persona 3 is one of the games that made me feel the most upon completion. I was a mess crying on the floor. There are aspects of Persona 4 that I prefer over this game and it's the same for Persona 5, but in the end, this one is the game in the series that I hold closest to my heart. God bless Aigis.
POKÉMON WHITE - This was the first game in the mainline Pokémon franchise that I played to completion, since I lost my copy of Soul Silver near the end. I could go on and on about this game, but I think I can be concise and just say that is has my favorite everything out of all of the Pokémon games.
FIRE EMBLEM: THREE HOUSES - I'm an FE casual that got into the game via Awakening like a lot of people did (though I've played most of the games by this point). I think out of all the entries in the franchise, Three Houses has the most stuff that appeals specifically to me. It's one of the most fun games battle wise and I love a lot of the cast. It has issues of course, but hey, every Fire Emblem game does.
SKULLGIRLS - I think no matter how old I get, this game is going to stay on this list. I've always loved fighting games since I first played Street Fighter Alpha II on my old SNES and this is easily the best of them all. Amazing balance, gorgeous art, fantastic music, and you get all that FROM AN INDIE GAME. If you haven't played Skullgirls then I don't know what you're doing with your life.
SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS - I'm pretty small-brained, so huge fantastical spectacle will easily get me all wide eyed. This game has amazing storytelling through minimal dialogue and the sheer scale of some of the colossi are amazing, not to mention the excellent way in which the fights are designed. I am literally in awe at the size of these lads.
UNDERTALE - Undertale is the other game I mentioned when I was talking about Persona 3. This game basically made me the person that I am today. I love everything about this game and think it sends its message in a perfect way. I'll never stop loving Undertale.
KATAWA SHOUJO - Rin's route messed me up something awful and is pretty much the only reason that Katawa Shoujo makes it on my 3x3. It reminds me too much of my own relationships, but forced me to reflect on them in a way it hadn't before. I could say a lot more about this game, but all that really needs to be said is "Rin best girl".
