Ok thanks for the info now I'll definetly check out Saki. Oh and while we're on the topic are there any anime from Spring 2019 worth checking out in terms of yuri content?
DarK-LaW Jun 22, 11:07 AM
Hey there, I saw that you're watching saki recently and wanted to ask some questions about it? Is it good in terms of yuri? I've been debating forever whether or not to watch it. The fact that theirs a male character in the main cast is kinda a turn off for me in a series like this. So what are your thoughts about it so far? Is it worth to pick it up?

his lovely pixiv if you have some time to kill. Warning Pixiv is a dangerous rabbit hole - https://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=6210796

with the 3 and half minutes they are given per episode - i believe they do their best. Once the meme dies i will probably re evaluate my scoring but for now I am just trying to let people know how awesome it is that someone's pixiv art solely inspired an anime.

Sure thing! I don’t have that much time right now, but I’ll probably play one of them soon enough :)

yea its an animation masterpiece. i highly recommend ^_^ episode 5 was great
Saleenseven Jun 9, 12:07 AM
so, when are we picking up the masterpiece that is miru tights?
Yumi-tan Jun 8, 6:50 PM
Damn, once again you’ve saved my life with all the yuri recs!

Funnily enough, the 4 ones you picked to start with were the ones that most interested me. Especially Ne no Kami :)
I’ve heard good things about Kindred Spirits on the Roof before, so I’m definitely gonna have to check that one out.
As for Kiss for the Petals, all I know is that one of them has a hentai adaption... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

And the other stuff I’d never heard of before! Which is all the better, since I’ll take all the yuri I can get. Thank you again for helping a fellow person of culture out ( ̄∇ ̄)

Oh wow, thank you so much! I’m definitely gonna check out as many of these as I can :)
I’m not particularly into VNs but if it’s yuri then I gotta know. I’ve heard of a few here and there but I don’t know if they’re any good so it would help a lot to know what you recommend(^ν^)

More "real" yuri more fun, khe-khe. In such cases, I can safely enjoy the story and not worry about shiping.
RobertBobert Jun 4, 3:22 AM
Well, everyone has fun as he wants. If you like it, then I have no problems :D The main thing is not to have false hopes.
Yumi-tan Jun 3, 5:28 PM
Can’t wait to make everyone cultured in that case ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Is there any anime with implied yuri that you recommend? I’d ask for actual yuri but I already know which ones those are, so

I liked your profile and your Anime watchlist and decided to send you request, if you like accept it if you don't then don't accept. But I will be happy if you will accept

Fragtime is great haha I was a huge fan. I think Bloom Into You and Citrus are still pretty tropey but signs that yuri has come a long way. The kind of yuri that I generally find frustrating are series like Sakura Kiss which strike me as pretty pointless and out of touch with reality. I won't delve into it too much, but there's this weird paradox in Japan where in spite of the fact that LGBT right aren't openly discussed or supported, people love reading yuri and yaoi and in many ways it's almost more front and center than it is here. For that reason I tend to separate yuri as a genre from lesbian literature which is more realistic and societally aware. Shows like Sakura Kiss can be entertaining, but I do think that they sometimes do more harm than good by disillusioning people as to what being in a same sex relationship is actually like in Japan. So yeah... a bit of a long-winded explanation but I guess while I love titles like Yuru Yuri, something like Omoi no Kakera (really anything by Takemiya Jin) is really more worthy of being celebrated (in addition to being something that can be connected with on a personal level).
BadMediaKarma May 26, 11:37 PM
In terms of personal enjoyment, it really depends on how trope-y a series is. I don't mind tropes, but in many ways they tend to serve as barriers that prevent yuri from being considered "lesbian" in nature. It's pretty rare to see authentic LGBT representation in manga, so my intention with the article was just to introduce fans like myself to yuri that speaks to the triumphs and tribulations that come with being a woman who loves women.
