Hey, you. It's me, a nobody just like you. Anyways, here's what I'll say if you care to be nosy or just waste some time.

My favorites lists doesn't mean much just thought of different animes and people on the fly that that I liked aspects of and never changed it again. (for context I made it, when I first joined and was quite a bit younger so don't read into it too much. That being said the ones listed are still better than most out there)

I have a soft spot for anime but I ain't no weeb.

Most anime is trash/mediocre, some are above average and a very select few, I would actually think to recommend someone to watch. (if it matched their taste)

I don't add any unnessscery OVA's, ONA's, AMV's, specials, and so on to my list, unless they are individual show's in themselves or are vital in ending the show or are movies. (I hold my own thoughts to these matters, if any inconsistencies arise).

Following from what I just said my anime list is around 97% accurate and always up-to-date. (3% is my childhood shows leeway)
My manga list is around 5%(*'ish) accurate and I don't keep it up-to-date as it's too tedious. I read too many titles and if you also read a lot of manga, you should understand this annoyance as everything is always ongoing. So with that said, I really only update my manga list, when they finish or if I'm very bored.

This is anime to me, it's just another visual medium, its's an exceptional art form with its own original qualities that can't accurately translate to other mediums. However, if you think its superior or warp your personality to it. then you should get out a little more, consume different arts and just really touch some grass, my friend.

I used to have greater favoritism of anime in my earlier years, which in turn reflected on any animes I watched at the time being seen a little too favourably.
To be honest, this is me just looking back reflectively rambling, regarding my anime experience and giving a cheap excuse for myself on the reason I won't always agree with my ratings, especially my earliest anime viewings. in rebuttle to myself, I'll say they're not far off from how I would rate them now so its good enough.
