Both anime is about a single father raising a child. In both shows a mother does not exist. The setting is different but the heart of the story is the same. Usagi Drop is far better and much more realistic (as in "plausible"), but "If it's for my daughter..." is also rather enjoyable and watchable.

Re-Main

Both are team sports anime (Bakuten!!'s team has 6 guys, Re-Main's team has 7 guys). Both main leads go to the first class of high school. Both main leads went to an inferior high school than they planned, but for very different reasons. Both have plenty of lighthearted and comedic scenes; these can either stand on their own or can be assumed to lighten up the more serious scenes and themes. Both anime are well-written, their animation is fluid and the characters are well-drawn. As for differences there are about as many as similarities : In Re-Main the main lead has a somewhat rare medical issue around which much of the plot revolves. Bakuten!!'s main lead has no health issues. Bakuten!! is about men's rhythmic gymnastics while Re-Main is about men's water polo. The former sport is obviously more artistic (kind of like ballet but not quite) and "graceful" while the latter is more conventionally "sporty" and "raw". The main lead of Re-Main also appears to have a (still potential, as of episode 2) love interest but the main lead of Bakuten!! had no mind for girlfriends (or boyfriends).

Similar setting, similar circumstances, similar main character, similar humor, both funny isekai comedies. I just watched Tsukimichi's first episode and the anime it reminded me most of was KonoSuba. I think Tsukimichi is going to be more adventure-ish and a bit less comedic than KonoSuba but we shall soon see..

Vanitas no Karte

The Case Study of Vanitas and Natsume's Book of Friends are two *very* different anime; they don't even belong in the same genre and there is not an ounce of "iyashikei" (the healing / soothing subgenre) in Vanitas, which is not slice of life either. However they share the same central plot device (minor SPOILER for both anime following): Each anime has an important book and each anime involves the return of names from that book to creatures who lost them. The supernatural creatures of the two anime are different and the circumstances of their name losses also differ, but they both use the same plot device. I have watched the first four seasons of Natsume but after watching just the first episode of Vanitas this similarity immediately jumped out and reminded me of Natsume. There is an additional similarity : the two leads of both anime are a human and a supernatural creature.
