i was surprised to see people disliked it that much.
i get that they didn't like gloomy okabe and no kurisu but i loved every part of it except for kagari because they could've give us a bit more than what they did . but besides that i loved it .. it wasn't a bad adaptation .. it wasn't a needless one as it basically showed us what the first ever okabe did and how he gave up and how that led him to discover a way to save kurisu which he did.. and as a prequal that explained few o the old things that we didnt require explaining for (but wouldn't mind getting them) it served its porpuse very well .. yea it's not the same level as steins gate .. nothing will be honestly .. but it's still a good adaption imo

I mean I don't really find Kaguya sama that impressive, it's ok I guess, nothing new, just the usual romcom misunderstandings with a psuedo battle of wits, but that's just the first 3 eps could get better by the end Idk, I read the manga long ago but I forgot literally everything.

About shield hero the 9 is just for the first 3 eps I expect it to get worse and I'll probably give it an 8 or even a 7 by the end if it takes the cliche isekai route, I also read its manga long ago and again, forgot everything, but I do remember that it was pretty good at first and then it went downhill later.
I mean there are already things that tick me off about it but I'm giving it the benefit of only having 3 eps out so far and maybe it'll elaborate on those points later.
Honestly as long as it isn't another re zero then I'm satisified

I haven't seen the last few eps but I thought the first arc was pretty good even though it was a little bit generic so I was expecting some generic battle shounen with hype and fights and all that shit smth like Gurren Lagann (And the first arc in Karakuri Circus really reminded me of TTGL especially with -insert tragedy- here) but then it fleshed out that disease thing and I thought it was pretty fucking good and well written even tho it felt rushed and the pacing was really fast (People on the MAL discussions were saying they skipped entire volumes) but I liked the concept of the disease enough to tolerate the pacing, last ep I saw was the backstory of those 2 brothers and I thought it was great, dunno how the last few eps have been but I've been liking the recent eps more than the early ones.

Dunno about next season since unlike this season nothing really caught my eye. I'll probably end up watching the mainstream ones since the obscure ones don't seem that interesting.

And yeah I cant do conversations either especially now since I've been feeling more introverted lately so these comments are a change of pace.
And dude just do it, just start the god damn game, it's easily the best in the series, and while it's not clear whether it is the last one or not yet but it is definitely the best stopping point you can stop at rn, like this is smth I'd recommend to people whether they got sick of the franchise or are diehard fans because it'll provide a conclusion. Hell if you were feeling sick of the franchise like me it might even re-ignite your fanboy-ism

I remember it being popular all along ever since the 1st ep, it was pretty popular in Japan even surpassing Goblin Slayer in the 1st or 2nd weeks, tokusatsu is popular in japan so it's not a surprise tho.
Though it was definitely the thighs that made it popular in the west when it all started with a news article about the director asking the character designer to make the girls thicc or something.
The animation was pretty good and I really really really loved the VA specially for Rikka and Akane so it kinda feels disappointing we didn't get more "emotional" scenes since the VA is at its peak there like Akane's scene in the last ep.
This is the kind of show I dislike not because it was bad but because it didn't meet my expectations even tho it's still pretty good on its own

it looked like it was making hints here and there from the first ep. stuff like his amnesia and literally having a character who is a god, dunno about you but I wanted to know more about the Yuuta from before all this shit, and stuff like how a god actually thinks.
I felt the shift from "Akane is just an asshole" to "Akane is just a victim" was too quick.
It's definitely not smth I'd binge either since it's episodic but the thighs kept me going

glad you enjoyed it, tho the episode was kinda disappointing for me lol, it felt like it was wavering between Eva and TTGL not knowing if it wants to be as deep as Eva or if it wants to just be mindless action, though it wasn't even close to how deep eva was and the fight wasn't really that exciting and the meh animation doesn't help either.
I hoped it'd at least have more depth or psychological elements since the concept was unique and had a lot of potential. But w/e it's still pretty good.
Though the last scene was mind blowing even though it was a bit expected

First of all you gotta be aware that it is an homage to an old tokusatsu show (stuff like Ultraman or smth like Power Rangers) so expect some CG, it's not bad at all but it might tick you off.
Other than that it's a pretty good show, the art and animation are great, ost is good, character designs are SSSS+ tier, and the premise is unique.
The directing is pretty weird (in a good way) and has the usual studio Trigger feel to it.
Basically it's Gurren Lagann in a school setting with CG fights and a girl with thicc thighs.

That make ao much scense... Well if we think that light is japanese...
