I see you have watched Pyscho-Pass. The movie was released a couple of months ago. I suggest watching it if you enjoyed the anime.

She didnt really have a personality. 90% of her dialogue was "Shinji why are you _____!" Likability really is irrelevant. The plot of the series didnt allow enough time for her to warm up to them significantly. I was elated when she died. Out of all the "animes" that I have seen she is the most annoying and worthless to the story. Faye is tsundere in my eyes. But as you said she is much more 3d than your typical school anime reject.

As for the character, I can't argue with you because it definitely depends what your view of what good characters are
