What are your thoughts on Akatsuki no Yona so far?

I've already read all of Shuzo's stuff except Happiness. If it's better than Trail of Blood then I have to start it too I guess.

Also I've read Annarasumanara, it was great, used to be in my favorites back then.

It was really good. A bit weak characterization, but everything else is quite solidly entertaining.

Also due to the ease of reading of the webtoon format, I want to read some more. Do you have any recommendations?

It's plenty entertaining and thrilling, for what it is. If you approach it the right way, you'll breeze through it in no time. So sure you can give it a shot.

That being said, it has its fair share of issues and strengths.
Firstly, and I know that people don't expect much from webtoons anyway, but the art is not really used in a way that increases the quality of the storytelling. It's nice, clear and consistent, but it's just there. The parent is supposed to be scary and a psychopath but the artist fails to depict that feeling of absolute dread and terror which should be there (honesty nothing of that nature will feel as good to me now that I have read chapters 6-11 of A Trail of Blood ; I was almost traumatized reading that shit lol). So yeah don't expect much in the visual department.

But the webtoon format is used quite nicely here. The thing flows smooth and fast, and due to that the big moments and punches feel sudden and impactful. The format being used correctly is why it is a good thriller.

The plot is good, the characters not so much, but, as I said, it's an entertaining thing and if you don't expect much, you'll enjoy it a lot.

I'm so into it that I have read more than 40 chapters in the last 24 hours, and I'm really excited to see what happens.

The more I'm reading, the more I think it's one of the most realistic manga I have read. It's not even overly depressing like Asano's work which only adds to the realism of it. Still it's a character drama.
The translation I found is subpar though. The art is already a little inconsistent as it is, but the scanlators didn't do a great job. So if you decide to read it and find the translation to be decent, do tell me.
