The new anime is very faithful to the manga but I don't know if with this season they manage to transport the whole story in animation and therefore there will be a third season. As well as the anime is done well I am of the thought that the manga contain those little more details, even a simple expression of the face, that in the anime do not give the same emotions... it is true that the mangaka's drawings are not always beautiful but I learned to know all the characters of the story with that not perfect but sweet and delicate drawings... and then I am of the opinion that the black and white drawings have its own charm.

Hello.
Sorry if I reply so late to your message.
Luckily I'm fine, and you?

Fruits Basket has a special place in my heart.

The first volumes follow one another in what may seem a classic sentimental comedy structure, a classic love triangle where there are fantastic elements that often create nice gags. Everything then takes a completely different direction from that which could be assumed initially.
Behind a sugary and frivolous appearance this manga instead hides a depth and a realism that is hardly found in other shoujo manga.
This story is about ties, families, women, mothers.
It addresses the issue of belonging to a place, acceptance and self-awareness.
It deals with the issue of abandonment, rejection, denigration, isolation.
It is a story of families and quarrels, of caresses and silences, of disconcerting truths and abominable fears.
Despite the pain that is shown to us, however, the manga wants to show the way to rebirth. A difficult path to follow, but one that exists, and that we can identify because in the world there is always someone who takes us by the hand and leads us to it.
Fruits Basket is a story full of hope.

No problem.

Sakuuta has a lot of flaws, and I ended up very disappointed when I saw then. I was loving the common route of the novel, but the heroine routes are very lackluster. I ended up giving it a 7 because of the ending, it is really good.
Overall Sakuuta's good parts are better than Subahibi's, but the flaws are worse in my opinion.

Valholl Jul 20, 4:40 AM
The best thing I've ever read so far, it easily transcends the medium and is on par with any classic literature

Actually the sixth has been out, for like, three months. They are already translating the last three

I know that. I just don't feel like doing it now, but i'll read it in the future

I can't give you a list per se, but you can check out my RYM/Letterboxd, both with the same nick. Those mosaics are super outdated tho
