Yeah there's also the issue of the humor not being your type. Sometimes series that aren't fully comedy are more funny than ones that are..
Tbh I heard Alicization was supposed to be one of the better arcs and it was good at first, but it's really gone downhill in the second half of it. Be glad you stopped watching it haha. I like Alice a lot more than Asuna, so that's the only thing that keeps me watching it, but there's been a lack of her presence lately so it's hard to keep watching it when there's nothing else that's really keeping my interest.
Yeah I understand that. Some episodes are way funnier than others imo. Is comedy a favorite genre of yours?
The first ep was kind of odd tbh cause there was an unnecessary scene with tentacles and Leafa.. I guess this is normal for SAO though. It seems as if each season has that one odd episode with rape like scenes.
