Ah, there you are. Took your sweet time. The players are all made up, and waiting for the curtain… Let’s give them a show to remember, eh. Just don’t you go dying on me. For Ranni’s sake, too.
Sailor Moon S has the most interesting plot and development with also the most charismatic characters. And Sailor Stars is quite special. I hope you enjoy the manga, some of the arcs are almost completely different, especially the last ones~
I have a special place in my heart for SuperS as a huge fan of Chibiusa's character development, but it's true that I S is probably the best season. Uranus, Neptune and Saturn are some of the most iconic characteres of the series. In fact, Saturn is my favourite Sailor. And which's your favourite season?
I also forgot to add Sonny Boy to the list. It's similar to Mononoke in the sense that it tells a story in a very enigmatic and unique way and it almost feels episodic. The art style and storytelling are very surrealist too.
yeah Mononoke is one of my favorite anime ever! I think I like it so much in part because of how unique it is, that's why I haven't seen anything quite like it. I do know of some similar titles but none of them quite compare to Mononoke. However, Mononoke does have a 'prequel' called Ayakashi which I listed below as well :)
- Ayakashi: Japanese Classic Horror, this one is the most similar to Mononoke as it's a prequel of sorts (only the 3rd arc is, the first two are unrelated I think). I haven't seen it yet so I can't say much about it :)
- Perfect Blue, Perfect Blue is a Satoshi Kon movie, I see you've seen Paprika and this has a similar vibe. Tbh I would say Paprika is more similar to Mononoke than Perfect Blue, whereas Perfect Blue is kinda like a mix of Serial Experiments Lain and Paprika.
- Puparia, this is a very short short lol, you can find it on Youtube. It's visually stunning and it has an open-ended story in a way that's slightly reminiscent of Mononoke.
- The Diary of Tortov Roddle, a series of 6 shorts (which you can also find on Youtube) with a unique art style. There's not really a story to speak of, Tortov goes somewhere, experiences something odd, and moves on.
- La Maison en Petits Cubes, a short movie that was nominated for an Academy Award I believe. Also has a unique art style.
I saw you on Gintama° stats and I thought I should tell you something. Just an advice, it's better if you watch Gintama S6 (Slip Arc) first BEFORE you watch S4 ep 35. Because from ep 35 until the end of Gintama is a straight up serious moments. You really don't want to mess up the rhythm by interrupting it with jokes and such because Slip Arc is all comedy. Plus it does chronologically takes place before ep 35 of season 4. Trust me you won't regret watching Slip Arc first. UNLESS if you don't care about rhythm and honestly need a break from all the serious and plot stuff, I suppose don't take my advice then if that's the case.
I sure hope you read this comment first before arriving to ep 35.
