Yeah I felt it was OK too. I was kind of afraid before watching it because I had so many expectations, but I already knew a few movies could never surpass the original trilogy.I tried really hard not to have too much expectations before.
But I found it to be decent at least, it worked like an extenuation for fans who really wanted to see more / what happened after Origination.
Yeah, it was decent, for fans of the original show.

Athena Befana scene? I don't remember that. Was it Athena singing opera?
Athena, while mostly being a background character in the original trilogy, ended up being one of my favourite characters and I was sad hearing her VA died. I have a bad memory so I guess I'll have to rewatch to know what you are referencing.

I don't really like any of the new girls either, even Ai I'm sad to say. She worked as Akari's penpal in the original series, but I don't think the new girls could carry a new series.

Mh, j'ai bien aimé ces deux anime (sauf le film The End, oops) mais ça va pas plus loin
Dans le cas d'AS j'ai surtout trouvé que la mort d'Ushio, même si elle était touchante, était un peu trop forcée même si c'était logique qu'elle souffre de la même maladie que sa mère
Pour Evangelion...eh, pour être tout à fait honnête je suis toujours complètement passé à côté de la hype autour de cet anime. Je comprends que beaucoup de gens en soient fan, c'est clairement bon mais c'est pas trop ma tasse de thé (en plus d'avoir du mal avec certains persos comme Shinji et Asuka qui me tapent un peu sur le système. Je comprends leur comportement mais je ne l'apprécie pas pour autant)
The End of Evangelion par contre oui j'ai pas aimé la fin, qui est un peu trop métaphysique à mon goût. Le film a énormément de qualités
mais j'ai vraiment du mal avec la fin

(j'avais sûrement pas besoin d'écrire tout ça mais en fait ça fait du bien d'expliquer un peu, t'es littéralement la première personne à pointer du doigt certaines de mes notes xD)
