I’ve always been partial to anime since discovering it when I was kid, despite not quite understanding how it was any different from the cartoons made in the western style. In the decades since, there has been an ebb and flow to my anime consumption that, at times, has me bringing series after series. When it comes to genres, I seem to gravitate towards superpower and sci-fi shows that have a darker atmospheres and protagonists with a shady past, but am willing to give most things a shot if I get a compelling recommendation.
I didn’t start dabbling in Manga and the like until I was in high school but, in the many years since, I’ve gotten through a fair few. As of late, I tend to read more than I watch. Sometimes I have a hard time committing to something new so I tend to re-read series a few times if I really get into it or it just scratches a particular itch.
