7 years ago, you suggested to me to read The Ravages of Time. I don't really read much manga so I kept that in the back of my head. Well... not too long ago I forgot to bring headphones on an 8 hour flight, so I decided to read something. I'm only 100 chapters in but the manhua has me in it's clutches, thanks for the recommendation.

There are many great ongoing western shows I've come across recently. I would normally agree with you, but the past 5 or so months have changed my mind on it.
- A lot of my friends have recommended Arcane to me. So I'll probably be checking that out at some point this week.

Same. I enjoyed it and while I do not know how good the source material is, it did feel like a quality adaptation. I too loved Catarina. She was the heart and soul of the show. She drives the series and her strong personality and like you said, it's the balance between her dense-lovable nature that makes her tick. I agree with you about the reincarnation bit. It is never really something that the show focuses on and thus, you simply have to accept that it happened and enjoy the series for what it is.

It is slow only relative to last month. That is still quite a lot of purchases.

When being limited in number, I guess that sort of thing can happen. You still got the product and that is valuable in its own right.

I just recently watched the Lord of the Rings Trilogy so certainly a thumbs up for that. You are a huge fan of this particular franchise so I understand.

The other purchases look excellent too. The Skyrim bookends in particular looked fantastic. That was quite something.

These limited editions fly out of the shelf. When I saw that page, it was down to 8 copies (Raybearer).

Haha damn. Didn't realize you had such a long history with this series. No doubt the book series is that much better if history is any proof. Can't wait to check out Cornwell's novel's myself! The pacing of each season in the show is so insanely quick that every episode feels like the final act of a film. Each season covers 2 books. So i believe the show left off where ever The Empty Throne ended. I just wonder how they are going to end it seeing as there is much more story to tell. You would enjoy it. Give it a shot if ever you get the chance.

We have had many conversations about History Channel's Vikings tv series over the years. So i imagine you may, or may not have already recommended The Last Kingdom tv series to me. If not, i definitely want to be the first to recommend it to you! I just binged through it's 4 seasons in a little under 2 weeks. I dare say it's every bit as good as the first 4 seasons of Vikings. At least in terms of direction. An infinitely times over more historically accurate if you value that sorta thing lol.

The only one that I've experienced (and just the first season) is My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! But I can certainly see the appeal of the genre. I liked that series myself.

MAL is really slow with updating its database these days. So there would be a slot of series that are not part of the database. But very nice that you're getting so much reading done. And as far as manhwa is concerned, many of them never get into the MAL database because of their rules.

Man, some of those titles seem so very interesting just from the synopsis. If I read books more, I would certainly jump into some of these.

Judging the books by their cover, I would not doubt that they are some of the best works in contemporary fantasy.

I wouldn't doubt that their value would just sky rocket but at the same time, a collector such as yourself would definitely not give them up either.

Don't doubt it. I would not give them up if I owned them. I would just place them on my bookshelves for all too see.

I see. I presume that happens with a lot of translations. Some of the nuance is lost in translation from what the author originally wrote.

My word. The cost of some of those titles! The titles looked very nice. Really appreciate you linking the titles to the websites so that I could actually check out what they were about.

But the costs are insane. Shipping is always the biggest issue but given that many of the titles that you listed are limited or collector's editions, it is understandable that they are priced that high.

The sandworm bookends although expensive, looked very cool. Many of these titles are just premium products so the quality is assured. You are certainly lucky to get your hands on them even if they were pricey.

Nice to know about The Legend of the Condor Heroes too. Hope that the translations are good.
