I've seen a two episode disc for 9400 yen. That's ~$94 give or take a dollar. The Japanese market is very, very different. Only otaku collect DVDs, they're not produced for or marketed at more casual viewers, generally.

Ouch. Well, it won't stop me from collecting the series I really love.

Can't wait to enter the army in a month. The pay is crap but at least I don't have to spend anything while there, leaving me lots to spend when I come out occasionally.
